yeah, but this always happens with the fan voting. yao was voted in in 2011 when he played 5 games. it's a popularity contest and people will vote for their favorite player regardless. i actually think the selection of players like curry and love shows more fan astuteness than usual.

edit: is was actually rondo last year, but he was hurt when most of the votes were already in. kobe didn't get hurt until the season was almost over.

Nah, Rose didn't play at all last year. But hey if we're voting Kobe in this year, why not Rose as well by that logic? LOL

You really think we'll see the "A Team" for the World Championships? I kind of doubt it. Would guess no LeBron, at minimum.

I guess it depends on the playoff situation- you may be right about LeBron- maybe Anthony and Howard too.

LaMarcus Aldridge showed why he should have been voted an All-Star starter tonight...44 points, including the last 15 of the game!

The best part about it is how insanely efficient he was from the field, 23-35, with a relatively lowish free throw count: 10 (he made them all, of course). Who knows if this will light a fire underneath the Knicks, but I'm most interested in how this effects Carmelo on Sunday afternoon*... can he even approach a game like this?

*The Lakers end their Grammy Trip on Sunday at MSG.

It's not too hard to figure out why, of course: A defense as flaccid as an impotent male porn star, an offense that shines in short bursts lately (and too infrequently for much of the year), to go along with all the injuries accumulated by this current Lakers squad. It's one thing to lose in Miami last night (a close, competitive game), but losing to Orlando (Tobias Harris scored a season 28 points... he's the 20th player this season to score their season high against the Lakers) is borderline indefensible.

I'm glad to see Pau being honest (even with his good month scoring* wise), showing that the losing is pissing him off.

    *On the court. :p

Wow. Oh and team record too.

On and the ESPN guys incorrectly are saying it's an MSG record as well (wrong, that would be when LeBron dropped about 80 something on the Knicks a couple of years back)

    1) LeBron has never scored 80 something on anyone... his current career high for a single game is 56, which occurred in March of '05 against Toronto.

    2) It is an MSG record... for the current version of MSG (4th building overall with the name). The all time MSG record belongs to Wilt Chamberlain, at MSG III (as a member of the San Francisco Warriors). He scored 73 in a game against the Knicks (duh) in November of '62.

I think Kobe would have dropped 100 that night if they hadn't pulled him from the game. Didn't he sit out the whole 4th quarter or something like that?

You're thinking of when Kobe smoked the Mavs for 60 something in three quarters.

Also, its a bummer they pulled Melo, but they were up by something like 35 at that point. I get why they did it. Also Celtics continue with the ineptitude, getting beaten down by the Durantless and Westbrookless thunder. Unfortunately, these things happen when you have D-leaguers on ten day contracts combining to play 30+ minutes.

That's probably the one I'm thinking of.
We are horrible this year, that's for sure, but it's also according to "the plan" of Danny Ainge. I suspect it's just a matter of time before Rondo gets traded too. At least we're not as horrible as the Bucks though!

The Nets are 9-1 in their last 10 games, and are within 3 games of getting to .500 finally. I am glad to see this if only because of my undying love for Pierce and Garnett.
