No reason why a human male cast member couldn't be gay for more diversity.

Gands are rather common in Edge of the Empire. :)

Ah SW Armour always has been rather diverse ( :p ) , so I don't mind.

Outside of the Sandpeople have we seen any bantha cavalry and what were their armaments?

Stormtroopers sometimes seem to use them, were they properly also just use Blasters and Forcepikes. Luminara also rode a Kashyyyk bantha during the Clone Wars, though just used her Lightsabre during that.

This. I thought that it was TOR Republic before I read Nick's title for it.

Do anybody know why her armour is so ancient looking in its design?

It doesn't look ancient in its design (you want ancient, go read TotJ): TOR just stole from the future.

    How was Jackson miscast?
Also I can not stand Plinkett's voice so I will not look at it but can somebody else tell me what he mean with "to appeal to the "urban market""? That Lucas thought that just 'Star Wars' would not draw enough people so that he needed appeal to the 'urban market'? Or something else?

The review needed to reach an hour so he reached for every potential nit that could be picked.

Didn't the Sam Jackson thing happen because of an online petition? I definitely remember that existing before he was cast, but it's been a while.

Yeah, the female Rebel trooper using TOR armor is actually my least favorite part of that image. If she was in traditional Rebel gear, I would be much happier.

If British accent is core-world accent and Corellia is a core-world, why do Han speak with a American accent?

    Regional dialects. They happen.

But would that not be another British accent instead of American?

There seems to be (perhaps fittingly as far as this conversation is concerned) a distinct sense of cultural exceptionalism among Corellians. Perhaps having a differing accent is part of that.

And where do you think the American accent came from, exactly? :p

I would be interested in hearing a constructed accent used for the accent of a certain world instead of an existing one, or more consistency with accents in Star Wars.
Those aliens from Galaxy Quest had a unique way of speaking.

Perhaps there are three major Core dialects- British/Coruscanti, which is predominant on the capital and worlds that are colonies, protectorates, and influenced by it. American/Corellian, focused on Corellia and her sphere of influence (and to a lesser degree all over the galaxy thanks to traders, perhaps influencing the rim more. And theoretically an Alsakan dialect, which we have not seen yet, focused on the third sphere of galactic influence. Much of it could have been supplanted by Coruscanti and Corellian accents thanks to the various wars. Maybe a Tionese as well, as a lesser, fourth major accent that is now mostly out of style.

Now I want Corellians to talk with Liverpool-accent and Thrackan Sal-Solo to try to speak with a posh accent and not always succeeding
