Can anyone identify the statue?

Does the statue on the right have a name? Is it Sifo-Dyas?

 

I'd kind of like to know this myself. That's pretty cool, though. A detail I guess I have missed.

Yeah, that's definitely one of the highlights of AOTC; there's a lot going on in almost every scene!

I looked up Sifo-Dyas on Wookieepedia, and it's POSSIBLE that the statue might be of Sifo-Dyas because some of his hair is kept in a bun and he has a beard. It doesn't specify that he is the statue, though.

It's probably some random Jedi that helped found the Order. Hardly Sifo-Dyas.

 

Sifo wasn't nearly important enough to warrant a statue of that nature. It's more likely a statue of Farfalla or Hoth or some other ancient Jedi hero.

I really doubt that's Sifo-Dyas, there are a lot of other Jedi with that hairstyle, and Sifo-Dyas wasn't that prominent a Jedi. I doubt anyone at Lucasfilm has put a name to that statue yet.

 

I'd say a founder or a hero of the Order. Perhaps if they ever do spinoff film(s) on the early days of the Jedi Order they could touch on that subject

 

Yes, absolutely. Speaking solely about subtle visual storytelling, Attack of the Clones is the most interesting of the six films. I find a ton of new hidden bits every single time I watch the movie that enhance the experience.

It wouldn't be Sifo-Dyas, he didn't become canonical until later on. Originally Sifo-Dyas was going to be Sido-Dyas (aka Sidous). When Lama Su mentioned his name Obi-Wan would say he had never heard of such a Jedi. The name and backstory was changed from Sido Dyas to Sifo-Dyas later on in production.

The idea that the Jedi would report an "army created for the Republic" to the Senate - by someone who was clearly falsely impersonating a Jedi Master - and then lead it - is a bit odd.

That's why I like the notion that the Kaminoans managed to convince Yoda that it really was Sifo-Dyas.
