ST Official Casting Contest

This is a hard fricken contest. You have to make decisions about how many Sky-Solos, whether Luke will have a wife, and even who makes the best master-apprentice Sith combo. Hard decisions!!!

Having said that, Vera Farmiga as Luke's wife is genius on my part. Someone hire me as a casting director now! (I'll flip burgers too.)

 

Isn't she like 40? 22 years younger than Mark? Kinda not normal for SW to have a mid 20's kid

 

60 year old men and 40 year old women is pretty normal. Luke has some major game.

 

If Luke's son is 25 she gave birth at 15. That's not normal in the SW universe.

 

Come on. Maybe she was 20 or so. Or you just say she's 50 in the movie. Easy to work around.

 

I'm just giving you a hard time because I want you to get a 1/2 point deduction for being wrong

 

You don't have to give me a hard time for that to happen. Vera is a fantasy I'm willing to lose points on.

 

I admit to really liking the actress enough to not care, since it could be done right even still.

Age her a bit with make up for 'present' day stuff, and have her out of aging makeup for old holorecordings of her and Luke (but him in deaging makeup)... plus it would leave wide open the possibility of using her 20 some odd year younger sister Taissa playing either their daughter or even older holorecordings of her to explain her backstory (that's actually how Taissa got into acting, helping her sister by playing her sisters character as a teen for the flashbacks).

Not sure I want this but it is appealing (based on how good of an actress she is) and intreaging to me (of how they deal with the age difference).

I like that Dra was bold in this casting guess, its fun considering outside the box choices.
