ST Planets in the ST

This could be an interesting setting for that acid planet I keep going on about.




This one also has a somewhat Star Warsey feel to me.

 

I really like the 2nd one.

 

The 2nd one looks like something from the hit anime show Last Exile.

 

Acid planet? Doctor Who already covered that as well, in an episode called "They Keys of Marinus". Let's just say the episode... wasn't the greatest... Would be interesting to see an SW take on the idea.

 

I'd picture an acid planet looking more like this...



But maybe that's just me.

 

How about a planet with oceans of mercury?

 

Right on, man. Lucas can be criticized for many things, but be careful, his sensibilities tend to be underestimated. I find they tend to be complex.

What about Polis Massa? I've always found it beautiful and soothing and I suspect that it has a connection to The Force.

And it's the birthplace of the wonder twins.

 

Just came across these by artist and photographer Catherine Nelson who decided to make 11 mini imaginary planets from hundreds of photographs. Grouping together trees, water, mountains, etc...

A little small, aren't the?

 

I just finished reading Rogue Planet...and although I didn't feel the story was particularly great, I did like the idea of Zonama Sekot as a planet!

I know this is far-fetched, but I would love to see it in one of the ST episodes. Unfortunately The planet is so elaborate, it would require a huge part of the episode in order to lay out all the backstory and the nature of the planet. And there are other planets that I would rather see, of course… I just thought this one might be interesting to see on screen.

 

In a Babylon 5 tv movie there was a terran planet that had rings, making them visible from the planets surface. I always liked the idea and wouldn't mind seeing it in the ST.

 

In the Galaxy of Fear series (set shortly after ANH) the protagonists come across a living planet created by the Empire as part of a bioweapon program - it ate its creators.

Maybe we could have something like that? A people-eating planet with apparently friendly natives (symbiotes with the planet) that lure visitors into a false sense of security?

 

Well looks like we have confirmation of the Sith Planet Moriband in Clone Wars, interesting design and I could see this appearing.

Alternate wording/spelling from Korriban perhaps? It is quite similar. Interesting…

 

Yeahhhh that was probably brain stormed in about 5 seconds...

 

This second one is gorgeous! Definitely has a subtle Star Wars feel.

 

For me, I think the SW feel amounts to a fantastic landscape of some kind plus a feeling of human yearning. The worker in the foreground of the above picture captures that human element of longing for the fantasy in the background. What a brilliant work (by whoever!).

Well, I would hope so because if they were to scale I would still be posting the remaining pieces of a single planet.

 

Perhaps a living planet would use its gas as a bio-weapon?

Completely new take on Death Star.
