I think most of them live in Sloane Square. In terms of undertaking physical challenge, those guys are top flight athletes to a man.

Wocky was right to defend these wealthy athletes, hewn from the very marble of Mount Olympus as they are.

Sadly, no. All voluntary redundancies have been stalled and no ticket office staff will be moved into customer facing roles. There are rumours that they'll all get platinum desk toys to help with the stress of total inactivity.

perhaps he should have been more concerned with his own health than the prosperity of £45k a year tube drivers...

    Bob Crow's Last Strike...

I'm just thinking of all the things the RMT could do with his £145k salary instead of appointing a new Head Oaf. We could have 5.5 nurses, or 2.25 surgeons, or 3 senior army officers, or 7 infantrymen, 3.5 architects or engineers, or even, ladies and gentlemen, 3 tube drivers (but only for the next month until their pay goes up another 5% to about the same as the average IT Director).

There's no marble on Olympus. But I suppose "hewn from the very marble of Mount Hymettus" or "Mount Pentelikon" wouldn't sound as good, so I'll allow it.

Speaking of which -- I need to find a way to get a water bottling company to operate on Olympus. Artesian water from some pacific island or spring water from the French Alps just doesn't cut it.

Seems unlikely, Jello. Someone in Greece would have to do some work.

You could always ask Kratos to be the sponsor of your bottling company.

He was certainly a confrontational & passionate Union leader, it says something that he was widely recognised compared to other leaders of bigger unions.
Although I don't agree with much of what he argued for over the years (since it was usually more pay for over-paid people), he was a no-nonsense type and fought hard for his members.

I believe his remote control ran out of batteries, and he had to change the channel manually. Heart attack.

    Too soon?

    Thought not.

Can't get up to change channel. That's elf and safety, that. Could sprain an artery.

I'm assuming that your assful of passengers are Julie Andrews and the family von Trapp and I'm not sure that anything will disabuse me of that notion.

In the meantime, I did hear a rumour that two gentlemen in tiger outfits were seen lurking close to the (government subsidised*) council house where Bob Crow shuffled off this mortal coil. I like to think that Idle and Palin were affronted by the guy with the Mekon Man icon suggesting that Crow could beat them in a fight and went to prove otherwise.

    * While London is in the grips of a housing crisis, the heroic Crow stayed in his subsidized council house rather than freeing it up for someone who didn't earn more than the Prime Minister or the average Chief Executive in this country. To be fair, he probably wasn't intentionally depriving people in need of housing, it was just that moving house means carrying boxes which is a bit like work against health & safety regulations.
