The dwarves are immune to the 7 power rings' control. It only drove them to become more greedy.

Hmmmm. I like Bofur, but from that last paragraph it sounds like they're still planning to jump off the deep end in this last film and orchestrate an entirely different plot from the book. I'll hold judgement until I see it (I'd be a hypocrite if I said I never liked any of Jackson's changes in LOTR), but I'm.... immensely skeptical.

Didn't Sauron simply gave up Dol Guldur and leave, later let his Nazgul reclaimed it back? Or they might put Dol Guldur's destruction after LotR here?

    Lousy Smarch weather.

Although I understand why you'd make such a ridiculous error. I forgive you.

Technically it's that it is not shown in the movies. The writers try to placate angry fans by pointing put that it could have happened offscreen, and regardless, these people change things all the time, they could edit him in to There and Back Again if they wanted to. I recall a number of people being fairly convinced he'd be in the first Hobbit film, actually.

I still dream of an alternative universe where Saoirse Ronan is cast as Tauriel, and then her part is cut from the trilogy, along with all scenes in which she appears. And with all the time saved the trilogy is edited into a two-part special edition. Special because it's a better adaptation, concisely told.

Well, it's a lighthearted section, The Hobbit is a lighthearted book, they're known to be willing to change things, and somehow they're making this a nine-hour trilogy...it's not too much of a leap, even if its a bad idea.

Galadriel. I don't think she's even in the book but I still want to see it.
