Who is your favorite Sith Lord out of the entire saga? Mine would be Darth Maul, although Vader comes very close. Changed my mind, Darth Plagueis, purely for being the master of the main antagonist, and only mentioned once.

Tyranus, he shows a Sith can have elegance, respect, skill, a heart, and class. (This is Lee's film take and Y: DR I ignore everything else).

I voted Maul. I wasn't really into converted Sith that much, I much prefer those who were kind of brought into the Sith tradition. Maul fulfils this the most IMO.

No one has voted for Palpatine? I went for Vader because his character is the most developed of the bunch, but thinking about it the Sith are great villains, it was hard to choose.

Definitely Maul. Such a shame he didn't get more screentime.

Plagueis, after reading Darth Plagueis, I can relate to him better than any other Sith I have encountered.

    Voted Vader.
I just absolutely love Anakin. Just think about how badass Vader would still be if he hadn't had to rely on that life-saving suit that Palpatine put him in. With or without the suit Vader is menacing.

Big Papa Palpatine and Plagues are both strong choices. But I have to go with Darth Tyrannus.

I think they are all really good. In the films, my favorite is Sidious. In the EU, from the choices here, my favorite is Plagueis.

    1. Darth Vader gets my vote. No Sith was more well-developed in the saga. His character is a lynchpin to great galactic events, and Anakin even dies a hero.

    2. But I love Darth Sidious and he's not all that far behind Vader in my mind. The great mastermind. The fulfillment of the Sith Grand Plan. The embodiment of a cunning mind with a genius for timing, patience, planning and manipulation, funneled through an evil, self-absorbed nature. What's not to love?

    3. Darth Plagueis, the mysterious Sith Lord with an eye on immortality, intrigues me like no other, and I want to know more. I really hope he is slated to become the Big Bad of the ST.

    4. I wish we had more of Darth Tyranus. His skills, charm and long history as a Jedi Master set him apart from the gaggle of more thuggish Sith of history who rely on power and intimidation, with little patience for the subtleties in life.

    5. Which brings us to Darth Maul. Umm... I liked what TCW did with him. :p

No, I actually like the idea of a Sith weapon. Finely-honed and lethal. I just think that the guy was too much of a one-trick pony in TPM. Perhaps if he had survived the film, Maul could have been fleshed-out into a more fully-realized character in the later Episodes.

Like I said, though, by giving him an agenda of his own, I think TCW did pretty well by Maul. It's a shame the series was cancelled, as I really would have liked to have seen more of Maul prior to Episode III. That said, I think he should be long-dead by the time of the OT, and I really, really don't want any part of seeing Maul show up in the ST.
