    In this thread, we will discuss the merits of different means of aquatic transport and their historical implications. This will be an intertextuality discussion involving history, science, engineering, marine biology, and even fitness.

    So what do people think? What is the optimal method of transportation across large bodies of water? Personally, I have to go with the quinquereme; faster than a hexereme and more stopping power than a trireme.

    Ramza Edit: The Senate Floor has a minimum one sentence reply policy, which a picture by Leonardo DaVinci does not qualify for. Indeed, Leonardo was always my least favorite ninja turtle, and was objectively inferior to Raphael who, need I remind you, was rude but cool. And even Michelangelo had the courtesy to at least be a party dude.

    We loved to sing about Roe vs Wade in third grade too. Our third grade teacher had a pontoon and would argue for Wadeing; but as a Boy Scout, I was all about Roeing. I feel I've contributed enough to this thread so I'm going to abort any further comments on the matter.

    The problem with sailing is that you're forced to follow the winds -- what if there is a sudden swell and you cannot pull out in time?

    One would hope you'd remember to wear a life jacket. But if there's a hole in it, not even the best life jacket can keep your seamen afloat.

    I find the concept of "wading" insensitive because it excludes minority groups such as the Congo Pygmies and little people. I'm appalled that this discussion is even occurring.
