"Count Dooku talks to Darth Sidious via hologram from within a secret command center. This is intended to suggest a long-standing Sith presence secreted on Naboo, most likely used by Sidious himself long ago, when Naboo centered into his plans for galactic conquest.

There was some idea given to having Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator parked in this facility, since his ship was never accounted for in Episode I. It is not the first secret facility revealed on Naboo."

I'm really sad that I didn't get to see Maul's Infiltrator!

    FALSE.
    I am not sad.

I wonder whether or not that was the intended implication.

"That ship is alive with the dark side, Master Yoda. I can feel it clinging to my robes. And worse, it still tempts me, calling me back with promises of fantastic journeys to the far reaches of the galaxy." - Saesee Tiin.

Make it into a buddy road trip movie. Saesee and Scimitar Go to Biscuit Baron.

I recently watched the theatrical TCW movie and a detail has been bothering me since.

Is there something like an official explanation of why Anakin speaks to Jabba through a translator? Doesn't he speak Huttese since childhood?

Is it something deep like him not acknowledging to understand the language (like some first-generation immigrants in some countries, for example) or Jabba being snobbish and refusing to speak directly to people in his native language (I had a German boss who always answered in English to non-native speakers, even if you were speaking German :) )

Or is it just a detail nobody cared about? :(

Considering Anakin's relationship with the Hutts overall, it would hardly surprise me if it's his way of surreptitiously thumbing his nose at Jabba to 1. not speak to him directly and 2. not talk to him in his native language. Jabba himself is well-versed in Basic, but refuses to speak it because he considers it demeaning, as you say, so Anakin doing the same makes sense considering the mutual tension of the scene.

But it was probably just an oversight of the writing. Perhaps a leftover from when it was a Plo Koon/Ashoka tag team through most of the story.

Maybe Matt Lanter can't speak Huttese.

While high on Bota the entire time, and the hijinx that ensue. With Neil Patrick Harris as a surprisingly friendly Sith Lord.

So, I saw this posted on twitter. I presume it's (some of) the cover art for the upcoming Maul comic. And it pretty much destroys any idea that Dooku being captured by mere pirates (even Hondo) was anything but a ridiculous fluke.

There were way more pirates than there are Nightbrothers in that pic, and all the pirates had ranged weapons.

And Dooku was unarmed. And this was before season 3, where the writers changed their minds and Force users could annihilate trained soldiers en masse (General Krell, I'm looking at you).

The stand by my belief that the dippy Dooku in the Hondo arc was just one of his clone doppelgangers. :p
