JCC ITT we complain about our 1st world problems...

I can't decide what to order for lunch today.

 

It's cold outside.

 

After thoroughly enjoying a stint of unemployment I must start my new job next week

 

My roommate's hogging the TV and I just want to play video games.

 

Did you tell them this?!

 

I thought you had been working for a while. Didn't know you were unemployed. You were the office worker everyone liked.

 

I have a bottle of 16-year-old Lagavulin and I was all stoked to enjoy a glass of it this evening...but I left it in my family's home in Door County which is like 300 miles away.

 

I'm so far ahead on work this week that I have no choice but to play some video games after class today.

 

Being a dick in Mass Effect is too much fun.

 

I couldn't find my phone and it turned out to be in the wastebasket next to my nightstand.

 

My boss passed away a week ago, and I already have job offers coming in from other employers.

 

I have to use this archaic W98 laptop and idk how to take my data files out. Anybody got a floppy disk?

 

I have too many printers connected to the computer I'm on right now. Sometimes I print shipping labels on serial number stickers. Fml.

 

So I'm on a bus which is about to go past this place where a friend was still working a few months ago. I don't know if he's still working there. I notice there's a cop car in the lot. First I'm thinking they just stopped for gas but then I see two cops walking around in the lot and questioning some guy. I'm leaning forward almost right up to the bus window because I'm curious about what's going on and I'm also trying to see if my friend is involved. Anyway, you know those cords you pull to alert the driver you want to get off at the next stop?

Until January first of this year all NY state vehicle inspectors were using W98 to run our inspection program for inspections. We had an issue and needed an old floppy disk. Couldn't even find one anywhere even radio shack. We found an old one in a store room in an old desk and had to use that.

 

Doing taxes last night was annoying because we made too much to claim many common tax breaks.

 

There are far too many geocentrists, creationists, and other nincompoops on these boards.

 

There's too much religious hodering going on in my lovely thread.


Also, it's snowing outside.

 

I'm probably going to have to brush up on type theory over the summer, since the algebraic geometers are keen on some jolly cooperation with us logic dorks to prep for a seminar. Church and Martin-Löf have won the war.

 

Church? Are we starting another religious debate thread?

 

Well, in a cute little coincidence, Alonzo Church was way, way more religious than most other 20th century logicians... but no.

 

I'm taking that job offer and don't know who to give my resignation for my current job.
