What is the Sharks answer to Doughty? How do they play against him? I can't remember seeing those two play eachother. I like LA at center more but just slightly. I hope Jumbo plays like he means it. Pavelski is a favorite of mine. If Kopi and Richards don't show then LA goes down. If three of those guys are playing well it'll be a fun series to watch. LA in six, if it goes longer I don't like my pick. The Big Pavelski and Carter will be the bright stars.

Don't trust Fluery and Bobrovsky had another great year. He wasn't in net for any of the games against PIT this year for CBJ and they're playing well coming into the playoffs. They've been playing "play off" hockey for a month already just to get in.

The Wild are playing an inexperienced Avalanche team that's missing Steve "Matt" Duchence their number one centre, and Tyson Barrie arguably their number one D-man. Ryan Suter will be all over Nathan (20 year-old) McKinnon. Parise wants to make up for last year and he's got Matt Moulson, a more established Pominville, and a healthy Koviu as a supporting cast.

Not every favorite is going to win.

    *Matt Duchene :p

I didn't know both him and Barrie are out. But they still have Stastny and O'Reilly that can fill the 1C spot. MacKinnon can play that position as well.

Suter's great and I like Koivu but the Avs are stronger down the middle, too fast and their D may not be great but it's not bad and Wild's O is average on a good night.

Let's not forget the Wild are going to be relying on Bryzgalov and you never know what you're gonna get out of him. I'd take Varlamov over him any day.

If the Pens lose it won't be because of Fleury.

Boys, I said Wild in 7. It's not like I said they would sweep Colorado. I just think that there is a chance of an upset there. Bryz has played well since he got there too. He's got seven wins in twelve games, a 2.11 GAA, and a .911 save %

Boston over San Jose is my pick. West playoffs will be flashier, and I think a Sharks-Avs conference final will be great, but Boston is the most complete team in the league.

Sharks got to get past the Kings and Ducks. Man, that is a tough road. By the time they get to the final they'd be black and blue. If Boston gets through the east easily, the west rep will have close to nothing left.

Sorry but I like the Habs and don't care much for TBL. And Plekanec is my favorite player in that series.

To me, the Lightning are the most unpredictable in round 1. I have no idea how the team will react to being in the playoffs. I don't know what the coach will do and I don't know if the players can raise the level of their game. I've watched every team at least twice this year but the TBL I saw was very early in the season. I could use a little what to watch for. My most wild guess of 2014: MTL 4-3

Just know that Tampa is a team that made the playoffs comfortably despite losing their number 1 player to a three month injury, their number 1 goaltender has been hurt off and on this season, and they made it through the drama of that little beeotch Martina St. Louis. Tampa is a solid team. Price will have to be really good for MTL to move on.

Hmmm. Yeah but the East is so weak aside from two teams. Tampa isn't really that good and same with Montreal. It will be up in the air for sure. Both teams won't even get near the cup though.
