Going back to Hoth would be just as pointless as going back to Yavin and Endor. I mean, why?

To revisit a place that was appealing the first time will only feel like they're reaching for the same magic that won't work a second time. Let's try to come up with new and original worlds, shall we?

    plaidphoenix double liked apes

Does anyone remember an intelligent living planet in silver surfer comics? It had huge rockets attached to it by galactus, and it used to travel around, causing hassle.

    That.

    Jungle Planet...wait, that's Yavin IV

I'd really like to see the predator planet and watch Rebellion get their @ss kicked. They could both be in the same universe ;) I mean just look at Bossk.

I would like to see something scary such as the Predator in a Star Wars movie. All the other creatures are too kid friendly, especially the bounty hunters.

I hope not. EU writers glorified planets from the OT and made them more important than they really are. According to the novel, Yavin was only supposed to be a moon and the former home to an unknown and primitive race that died off a long time ago. The temples were their only proof of existance. I mean, why would the Rebel Alliance choose a temple for a base of operations that once belonged to the Sith?

I like the Yavin Jedi base/ Exar Kun EU story (from what I've skimmed on wookiepedia). Could see Adam Driver as Exar Kun

I never noticed Driver's resemblence to Kun before, but now that you pointed it out, VII speculation has gotten much more interesting.

I'd personally like to see Illum and Bastion. They've never shown the world where Jedis get their crystals from and if they're trying to tell a coming of age story (and of course idk that they are), then Illum would be essential. Bastion is the capitol of the Imperial Remnant and I'd be surprised if the Old Empire doesn't play some type of role int he Sequel Trilogy.

This. Most of the planets we visit in the OT are hiding places, military objectives of a temporary nature, or someplace that was nearby when the ship broke down. Let them be what they were intended to be. I don't want some convoluted explanation for why Yavin, Bespin or Hoth are important to the fate of the galaxy on a time scale that spans generations.

More than any particular planet, I would be interested in seeing some content relating to those vast ships. Star Destroyers are just ridiculous in volume. What's inside there? Sure, there's a bridge, docking bay, reactor room, engine room, and so on, but surely there can be something else more interesting than colorless hallways. I liked that the Clone Wars showed some big ships crashed on a planet's surface; I could go for more of that.
