Any allusion to the New Droid Army should be accompanied by a trigger warning.

... because he was stupidily portrayed as having senses dull enough that a monkey lizard was able to pickpocket him. :p

Since I'm not caught up on TCW; there are Nightbrothers now? And are they all Zabrak? And they're near-human enough to inter-breed with Dathomir witches?

Wait til you read the summary for Issue 3, which just was released... ;)
Maul still wins and captures Dooku.

It's days like this I hope that one day in the distant future after he's dead Christopher Lee comes back and haunts George Lucas and Peter Jackson for totally wasting his characters.

Who says it has to be after he's dead? He can just chant incantations from the top of the Isengard tower and have Skywalker Ranch and New Zealand both covered with snow.

Of course, if I had to guess, I'd say...
Maul loses everyone 'but' Talzin to do so... and we still don't know quite how it ends. The Jedi enclave, or perhaps even Dooku himself could end up killing Maul, or Talzin, or both. After all, Maul DID kill Qui-Gon, which I suspect even Sith Dooku still won't be happy about. You never know. We'll have the final issue summary a month from now, and the first issue itself shortly after that.

This thread truly is Groundhog Day.

I guess Dooku is to blame for why there were no Nightbrothers in TCOPL.

    *sigh*

Oh, whatever will we do now that Disney has the license! I bet they won't respect the artistic integrity of the Star Wars universe!

Technically, they're male Dathomirians, which is a species that originated as a hybrid between Humans and Zabraks. Male Dathomirians look like normal Zabraks, while female Dathomirians are simply pale, bald humanoids like Asajj Ventress.

See, it all makes perfect sense. :-B

I know you're being sarcastic for the sake of bashing the show, but you pretty much described the EU depiction of Devaronians, where the males has horns and the females don't.

Took some time off to read TOTJ volume 2 today. Found this amusing exchange between Exar Kun and Freedon Nadd.
    "You... you're not real... you're a spirit!"
"Yess... and a spirit can give a gift! Something to set you on your true path!"

Just a heads-up to the whole exchange between Yoda and Bane about Bane's ghost not being real, but an illusion...

Technically, I think it varies, but the show only had so many models.

After all, the whole idea of them being hybrids came from the Infinity gate comic, where some of the Nighsisters have a crown of horns.

I don't think the females are bald -- in Ventress' flashback she had hair.

Ventress as a Rattataki was naturally bald. As a Nightsister she shaved her head.

If Nadd wasn't real, how did those rocks fall on Kun and what happened to Kun's saber when the Tuk'ata attacked him ?

Yeah, I have heard many complaints about the new status of the Nightsisters as a species, but, personally, I find the Zabrak connection a smart interpretation of the look that was established in Infinity's End (and followed in the cartoon).

The rock slide is credited to the planet being so filled with dark power, it turns on people from the outside. Nadd "triggers" the energies latent in the temple on Korriban. The big thing with Nadd is that he wants to train Kun to get alchemical knowledge to give him a new, physical body. Which will apparently give him more power.
"Now, my son, we will begin the alchemical work, so that I can be reborn into a new body."
    "I'm not your son."
"We must find the old Sith magician's laboratory... and revive his lost arts together!"
"Freedon Nadd, I've had enough of you guiding me, testing me..."
"Nonsense! Let's get to work... I am hungry to reacquire flesh and life and power!"
    "Power... yes, there is power..."
Following the impulse of anger, Exar Kun turns the amulet against his mentor...
As he dies a second death, Nadd reaches out in desperation to others he has led down the dark path...
    Also, he isn't real, he's a spirit! :p

Isn't Exar Kun basically following the same plan with Kyp?

Kun probably got the idea from Nadd.
How does an illusion "trigger" something?

I also think it works very well with how the Darth Bane book mentioned that both Dathomir and Iridonia are both academies for Sith Marauders, and Maul's disdain for the Nightsisters in one of the older comics.
