ST Spy Picture -- AT-AT Foot?

I don't buy that rumoured plot line. Next gen Search for Luke sounds like it may have been part of the story but not sure about the Han and Leia stuff.

 

"I heard a while ago from another blogger." can easily be translated to "I just made this crap up 5 minutes ago to post here to get some attention."

 

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid whose dad is working on Episode VII. He gave me all of the plot details.

New theory on what the image is.. It's a giant freezer. The cast and crew got hungry. So they had Disney bring in some frozen food.

So which would you guys prefer? An AT-AT battle on Tatooine that we get to see during Episode VII? Or the foot used as junk from a battle long past?

I'm leaning in favor of having no actual moving AT-AT's in VII, to avoid diluting the Battle of Hoth. Just having the foot in there as an Easter egg.

How does everyone else feel about it?

I'd love for a desert AT-AT battle... if done well, especially if it was important to the plot, it wouldn't dilute The Battle of Hoth for me.

 

I wouldn't count on actual AT-ATs, though. A walker type vehicle, sure, but probably a newer, more advanced model. To be honest, the PT walkers seem more advanced and practical than the AT-ATs so I'd hope to see something cool looking yet practical and tactically viable in the ST.

 

Well sure, a new AT-AT could/would be a lot thinner, more mobile. It would absolutely need the same "feet" of course.

 

One of the points where EU shines, in my view, is the many additions and variations to these vehicles. For example, some interesting Walker-type vehicles...

 

The first one there at the top left looks like a giant, robotic dog. But I like it!


The last one there on the bottom is too small for my taste.

 

The first one kind of reminds me of some mammoth-like creature. The second one is cool, like the open top plus it looks sturdier than the AT-ST.
