    I actually dislike these big holidays. I'm not religious in the least so it holds no significance to me on that level but it affects me in the way that for three or so days the entire country shuts down more or less. Everything is closed, streets empty, 90% of people doing holiday stuff. It being rainy and cold outside, I'm pretty much forced to sit at home and wait it out. Which is not really something I'm in the mood to be doing right now.

    I'm on series three of the original Doctor Who, which unfortunately contains mostly reconstructions. Hartnell is interesting and the original of course, but I'm looking forward to my first change of Doctors shortly.

    It's so much cheaper to eat fast food. In England you can get a Big Mac and medium fries for £2 ($3.30) with a voucher you can print off the internet, and for pizza, we get two for one deals on the inter webs all the time.

    Ham, mushrooms, spicy sausage, two kinds of paprika, mozarella and crust stuffed with cheese as well.

    The good thing about holidays is the food. Some family coming over, I'm quite sure the meal will be quite satisfactory.

    Off-topic, I read that Scottland is close to having enough votes to win independence. I only ask because I do not know... Why do many folks in Scottland NOT want independence?

    Happy Easter Beeps.

    A lot of it has to do with trade benefits. The UK is a political, and economic union, with a strong common currency. The Bank of England has said they're not to keep Stirling if they leave the union, and Scotland does a majority of it's exporting to England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. What are it's alternatives? Adopt the Euro (a much less favourable currency union).

    Also, in the UK everyone has Scottish relatives, or a bit of Welsh in them, or are from Irish stock. We should IMHO be looking for less borders between us, not more.
