So this is canon, but Honor Among Thieves isn't? Makes sense (not really). At least with these new books we're getting new cover art.

 

A tight, "dancing with the stars" shirt open down to nipple level, and some tight, rawhide/leather pants. Yeah, that totally looks like something Luke would wear.

And whose right arm is that? And where is it coming from? Hyperspace?

 

This looks like fun.

GAAH! 1st person POV, I, Jedi-style Luke book? Four out of four awesome covers? I...just...I...it's like Christmas!

 

I don't think Honor Among Thieves isn't going to be canon. Officially everything after ROTJ is no longer canon so it should still be ok. I would like to get a little bit for info about the story though. I don't really care that the book will be first person point of view, that doesn't affect whether or not I get it, I want to know something about the plot. The other books announced gave us something. I mean I'll still read it, but the whole first person thing means nothing to me. The cover art is pretty good though.

 

He spent his entire life up until this point on Tatooine - of course he's going to have a terrible fashion sense. We should be glad he doesn't look like an opera house reject.

 

Okay, I have to say it.

 

Actually, all previously released EU material falls under the "Legends" (i.e. non-canon) banner, including SWEaR:HAT.

 

Let's not jump to conclussions. All they said was that Legends is going to a tag for reprints of existing EU material. We still don't know what pre-ROTJ material is non-canon.

 

I'm not sure I'm jumping. When asked about the Empire and Rebellion series, Heddle said that only Heir to the Jedi was canon.

 

There's still nothing to tell us that everything's going to be Legendized; only that these books fit the bill. Their "post-ROTJ" wording was pretty clear.

Do I think it's the most likely outcome? Oh yes. But there's still no official word on it.

 

A story set between ANH and TESB? That's just crazy enough to work.

 

Official word, at your request.

I'll wait to see an official announcement, though.

 

It does seem silly that the rest of Empire and Rebellion can't be considered canon. I really don't see the harm. They were released so recently too. They should just try rebranding the paperback versions when they come out

 

Seriously, there just seems to be no thought in this. Would it have been difficult to have them part of the Neu EU, not discussed it ahead of the announcement, and then mention that they were, in fact, part of the Neu EU once the announcement was made?

 

That's what I was thinking.

Also, he's a no-name in the 'verse, which concerns me.
