'A Feast for Crows', all your favorite characters you've come to love are reduced in size or left out entirely. Instead we get a story dominated by mega female dog Cersei. Least favorite so far and I don't see how it will be adapted for the series.

It focused on Milton's concept of predestination and free will and how each of the characters represent this ideology. The paper itself is due next Friday.

Nice. PL is really Milton's way of trying to resolve predestination with the problem of evil and God's omniscience. "To justify the ways of God to man." It's an amazing poem but really fails at this task, IMO.

    Congrats on completing your presentation!

I can get that angle out of PL, but I don't remember seeing much of it in PR. Then again, it's been like 6 years since I read either of them, and even then the bulk of my opinion on PR consisted of "This must've been one of the first disappointing sequels."

Han Solo and the Lost Legacy by Brian Daley. Sigh. That's the end of the trilogy. Fun, fun, fun.

After reading all three back-to-back, I was thinking about the nature of each story. I see Stars' End as a space western, Revenge is like a noir conspiracy thriller, and Lost Legacy is a Treasure Island/Indiana Jones adventure.

I wish Daley had written more SW. He really knew how to make a book feel like an action/adventure movie.

In the D6 RPG sourcebook for the Corporate Sector there is a side blurb with Han as the narrator. He describes the quick draw and what it takes. He laments that the 2 times in his life he was perfect he lost. One to Gallandro, and one to Vader.

That was an awesome sourcebook, and a beautiful sidebar - I loved how it talked about how though your reflexes get slower as you're older, your brain gets better, so you don't actually get that much slower. The WEG sourcebooks clearly had a lot of love put into them. You could still see bits of their stuff in the Zahn novels, which was glorious if you played the RPG.
