Yep. I agree. The ending arc of season 5 was amazing, and the Yoda arc was truly great. I am actually stunned at how much I enjoyed that series.

Congrats, Yodafan. :D The Nightsisters Arc (for Dooku) and the end arc of S5 were my fave eps. Yes, I'm a hard sell and didn't like TCW much at all but I'm glad you did.

I had low expectations for the series. That may be why I enjoyed it as I did. I typically don't enjoy animation. So, the depth I found there (again with my low expectations perhaps) was what surprised me. I did think there were some things that were just silly (some of the stuff with the battle droids and clones), but overall, pretty good.

Poor Artoo was out in the rain while Luke was gettin' a hot home-cooked meal from a silly little fella.

Yodafan--what were your favorite parts of the Yoda arc eps?

Some of my favorite moments were:

--when the council members all circle around Yoda for "group meditation"

--Anakin helping Yoda "escape" (the med center?) so he could go to Dagobah

--Qui-Gon talking to Yoda on Dagobah (explaining the Cosmic vs Living Force, etc.)

--Yoda's happy vision of all the Jedi together (Dooku included, etc.)

--Yoda's tragic vision of future events (Order 66, etc.)

    me too
The Mortis Trilogy is the companion arc to this one. More about the different aspects of the Force and other similarities.

I like how Yoda is confused, distracted, wrong, doubting, learning and generally shown to not be perfect.

I like when he sits and says something like Here I am, ready for my lesson Master.

Yodafan: I had low expectations as well and I don't like modern animation. I did however enjoy immensely that Yoda was finally shown not to be untouchable. That was good. I gave TCW a try for Tarkin and Dooku and they were the highlights for me but seeing Yoda be taken off the pedestal was nice as well. I prefer relateable characters.

ditto! a great reminder that even as a powerful and wise master, he recognizes there is ALWAYS more that can be learned ...

(plus I just love how he looks when he's sitting--as in my avatar--he looks so cute with his little feet matched up together...geez, I'm such a Yoda :-B )

Also, I forgot to mention another of my favorite moments--when he confronts "Dark Yoda"

That really reminded me of LotR and Gullum and Semeagol. Thought it was an interesting but too brief tone to strike.

It's hard to pull favorite moments out of the Yoda arc, but there are two that come across as most powerful to me. The one that Pensivia mentioned about the hands on group meditation was very emotional for me. It actually reminded me greatly of some very powerful moments in my own spiritual life. Also, the one that Frank T. mentioned about Yoda stating he was ready for his lesson was pretty strong, because it, as Cushing's Admirer says, it shows Yoda as being "real"--fallible. Finally, Yoda failing to realize, at first, the dark side in himself, and then understanding that the dark side is not gone, but only controlled...that was great as well.
