    I've considered "Ben_Shysa" as a potential change, hence my new avatar. Problem is, "Shysa" is phonetically identical to a rather dirty German word, and I'm not sure that'd be any better.

    Godzilla films are the one franchise aside from Star Wars where I unilaterally consume all related media from them. I grew up on the old VHS "One Last Time" boxed set of the OT and a copy of "King Kong vs. Godzilla". And I dislike the '98 Godzilla film with vengeance I otherwise reserve only for The Phantom Menace. But while Star Wars has had two other movies, numerous books, comics and five seasons of a TV show since then, Godzilla's had no other movies made on our shores, and no films in general since 2005, along with a complete dearth of attached media. So, yes, I was pretty hyped going in. But I critique every film I see, I don't give Godzilla a pass any more than I give Star Wars one. Just because I love the franchise doesn't mean I don't identify problems within the storytelling. And I honestly expected to be disappointed after reading some rather lukewarm reviews. But the movie was good enough to bear up my expectations, which makes me both surprised and happy.

    Looks interesting. Hopefully Nolan will strike a better balance between high concepts and actual plot/characters than he did for TDKR.

    Well, you would probably have a very unique and beautiful singing voice, if nothing else. Incidentally, a lack of gonads didn't always necessarily keep the castrato singers of the 17th and 18th centuries from, um, gettin' around. :D

    I think being a lawyer requires a bit of evil to go along with the smarts. It's one of the reasons why my dad doesn't want my brother and I to be lawyers; because we'd be good at it.
