Darth Vader battles the ninth incarnation of the Time Lord known as the Assassin, only it's really his tenth incarnation because of the War Assassin played by John Hurt.

A incredibly skilled, powerful and anonymous assassin tries to murder Darth Vader to get justice for so many beings...and fails utterly.

Darth Vader and the story that mostly has nothing to do with an assassination attempt.

Not to be confused with the Deadly Assassin, which was a plot by the Master

I wish that red dragon alien had been Kaleesh instead, the comic.

The one that would have been awesome had it been about a Ninja Assassin and that not just been a typo.

It wasn't even a typo, it's just what people kept seeing.

Ulicus wins in a Doctor Who reference that I only partially understand. Still on the Third Doctor.

This Darth Vader seems like a popular guy.

Darth Vader and hey, we're running out of ideas, but Darth Vader.

(Also, while I'm here, I need to go back and do one of these for Empire & Rebellion: Razor's Edge: Lucasfilm says it never happened, which confirms it's possible for nothing to never happen...)

A clone trooper who was abandoned during the war finds Vader, idolizes him, comes to despise him, apparently leaves the military of his own volition without any punishment, gets married, and starts a potato farm.

Darth Vader vs. the League of Shadows would have been a better comic.

Darth Vader and the quickly forgotten story.

So did Ra's al Ghul figure out Vader's secret identity like he did with Batman's?

Sort of torn here. Gamiel technically has the most likes, but they were gained in responding to a post by Revanfan1. So... whatever. Split the scraps anyway you like, you pack of filthy animals.

    Am I thinking aloud again?

Might as well work to get most of the "Legends" books down, if only so I can get used to saying that.

If you wanted an introspective character portrait of a character with a dearth of lines and screen time and has never had anything approaching depth or subtlety to him, too bad, enjoy Maul pit-fighting a Yuuzhan Vong in the first (extremely) bloody chapter instead.

I'm pretty sure I neither need or want an introspective character portrait of Darth Maul.

He works far better as mute force of nature.

That said; pit-fighting a Vong has me slightly interested...and then I look and see it's by the guy who did Death Troopers and start wondering what sort of badly forced cameo or Big Name plot is in this one.

Maul did not fight a rancor in this book–but everything else is dead.
