I have £30 in my betting account which is reserved for World Cup games. How much do you think I'll have left at the end of the tournament?

If you bet smart, stick to low risk, low reward, you should be up. If you bet crazy and get lucky on a couple, you should be up.

    So, I don't know.

I'm planning to go with the favourites, and always bet against England (though that's the same thing).

However, beer may lead to crazy bets...

The US clearly is the favorite in Group G!

As a proper Chelsea fan, I cannot support Suarez in anything he does. Apart from suicide.

I don't support him. But I think he's the best player in the world.

he'd have to Maradona it if Uruguay are to win. And by that I mean Maradona's second against England, not the first :p

Doesn't score against the big teams. In fact 61% of his goals in the EPL this season came against the bottom 5 teams.

In any case, no guarantees he'll be fit. Or if fit, in any kind of form.

If he's not, Cavani can still pick up some slack.

Since Sweden didn't qualify this year I've had fun with making tests about which teams I should support. So far I've ended up with Germany and Chile. Well I don't mind Germany, but I have a tendency to revert back to rooting for the Netherlands when I can't support Sweden. This year I also have some hopes for Belgium, and I'm hoping that they will be the underdog that goes to the bronze match.

I've got a feeling that the Armenian national squad isn't very good, but non-the-less it would have been lovely if they had made it.

It should be an interesting tournament. Group B looks set to be entertaining as does Group D.

For a bit of light lunch time reading ZonalMarking has posted tactical previews of all the teams in the first four groups of the World Cup.

Also we need more people in the fantasy football league, it's just me and heels. :p

That's a myth. He has scored against every single Premier League team, therefore saying he doesn't score against the big teams is rubbish.

he'll be scoring 92% of his goals against Spanish opposition next year and you'll be then crying yourself to sleep 74% of nights across the span of the football season. 54% of those nights you spend crying yourself to sleep will also involve cradling your pillow which will by then have a Suarez cover on it.

He's going to score 388 Champions League goals? That is exactly 388 goals more than the entire Manchester Untied team will score in the Champions League.

which is why we shall overtake the weary wreck of a team that will be Liverpool FC in the premier league next season. when they remember what it's like to play twice a week every week, when Sturridge realises he's a bit poor without his best bud Suarez, when Can can't and when Gerrard's tortured and agonized soul leads him into a season long depression.
