Boyega plays his lost "orphan" son (remember the Thomas/Rachel descriptions, there was a lot of growing up without family in there), and then Lando turns out to be the secret main villain in Episode 8.

I think I would prefer the only three black people in the galaxy not be related to each other.

Watch Boyega be Lando and Leia's child and the collective internet and fandom lose their minds.

 

I'd like to see him in VIII. Throw in a Iittle reflection to the OT. I guess you might need a Yoda ghost, too. Still, if he were to show up in Rebels and VIII, well that's just the best case scenario.

 

I would enjoy it much more if Boyega was Captain Panaka's grandson as opposed to Lando's son.

 

Well Panaka is obviously Lando's dad so why not both?

DR just announced on Twitter that they'll have special advance copies of A New Dawn at SDCC that include excerpts of Tarkin, HttJ, and LotS--any West Coasters interested in being ETE's official SDCC correspondent?

 

That Tarkin excerpt is going to be like the Rosetta Stone of the new canon.
