I think in True Colors there also comments made by ordinary troops to the RCs about being traitors for being devoted to a group, meaning the Mandalorians, fighting against them. It may have been in Order 66 as well but I'm not sure.

In the same Marvel comic that showed them fighting during the Clone Wars. This is an image of a "separatist" giving them their assignment to capture Leia('s mother) during the Clone Wars.

I don't know for sure. I assume that is what Traviss meant to imply.

Those Marvel comics were written so long ago in the scope of canon (EU/Legends...whatever) that it's hard to take them as anything beyond face value. Abel Pena tried very hard to tie it all together back in 2004 with his Insider #80 article, but Karen even retconned a bit of that out because those Marvel stories were so conflicting with canon post the prequels. Anytime I write about mandos on the official Star Wars Blog, I am very careful to cherry-pick what goes in from the Marvel comics. Pretty much everything from the Clone Wars/Empire time frame I tend to stay away from since it's so contradictory. Sad, but true.

I know that; the reason I ask those questions is because the wook''s pages regarding this lack footnotes that inform from were the presented information comes from.

I completely understand, and if you don't own a fair amount of reference materials then it's extremely difficult to source that information. I've had people from the wook ask me to update articles, and If I had that kind of time then I'd have no problem doing it.

The above image is of the Taung/Early Mandalorian gods. (Left to Right)
Kad Ha'rangir "The Destroyer God": Primary deity of the Taung/Mandalorian Crusaders, and viewed as the bringer of change and growth upon the universe.
Hod Ha'ran "The Trickster God": Viewed as an agent of the fickle nature of fortune.
Arasuum "The Sloth God": Viewed as the personification of stagnation.

The Taung and early Mandalorian Crusaders worshiped their gods through warfare, believing that change and growth could only occur through destruction. Mandalore the Indomitable changed the religion to focus on warfare itself being a divine act. After the defeat of the Neo Crusaders, religion started to fall out of favor within Mando society. Over time Mando culture shifted toward a belief in the Manda, or over-soul/collective consciousness that embodied the very essence of what it was to be Mandalorian. If you were knowledgeable of the culture and practiced the tenets, then you would join in the Manda upon death. If you didn't then you were considered Dar'manda, or without a soul.

The wook breaks it down pretty good: Mandalorian Religion

Thanks but I think you misunderstood my question. I meant how they worship/ed their faith, not what they worship/ed.

    EDIT:
is there a mando'a word for fist and/or hand?

Not that I can find. The closest, I guess, would be kom'rk, which is "gauntlet."

They worshiped by waging war. No Sunday school, prayer groups, or reading of the entrails...waging war to influence change was "how" worship took place. The Mandalore was not only the cultural leader, but the spiritual leader also. Similar to how the monarch of the UK is also head of the Church of England.

So no masses before/after battle, grand feast in honour of the gods/dead, prayers to your honoured ancestors for guidance, ritualised duels/battles in time of peace/travel? Nothing of that kind of stuff?

    Thanks.
Just wondering were are they mentioned because I can not find them on the wook’s wordlist
