Dark Horizons has an article on the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy The Interview and the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un's thoughts on it here:
    http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/32650/north-korea-responds-to-rogen-s-interview

    This part is... interesting, though:
Now I burn to know which Bond actor is his favourite.

Ender would say Roger Moore or David Niven.

He's a clown, so obviously Roger Moore.

But... they're not what I would call talented people.:(

Hmm... hopefully it's really just a script "polish" like they said, and not anything more major that could push the start of production back more than the two months they just announced. Although a polish doesn't even seem like it would need to push production back that much, especially if it really just focuses on those areas that they mentioned. They didn't say anything about the release date needing to be moved, yet anyway. But even more importantly, hopefully this really does make the script a better finished product.

Maybe we can get a title once they work through this.

Assuming that the Daily Mail is even trustworthy, it sounds like it's just a little polish to punch up some stuff rather than a total rewrite. Still, I was hoping to see a Bond movie without the mediocre hand of Purvis and Wade in the process.

A little bit more about the script and delays HERE... and Daniel Radcliffe as a rumored villain? Uhh... no thanks.

Interesting... Roma would be a difficult place to film a long chase in though...

A car chase in Italy again? Why not someplace else?

Eh, on second thought, the chase in QoS was so completely different from how a chase in an urban center would be that I guess it'll be different enough. Still wish it could be in one of the other European countries, though.

The car chase in QoS is great, and I do agree that something set in Rome will be quite different from that. Almost something more like some of the chases in Ronin (I know none were in Rome, I just mean the more urban setting and lots of traffic). And although it was cool to see the classic DB5 in Skyfall, it was also kind of out of place. It will make more sense for him to be driving a contemporary Aston Martin again, and apparently the new movie will include a brand new model.

Well Ronin's chase was heading out of Paris, or down near Nice. Rome, though... Yeah. Um. If you have't been to Rome, here's the traffic...

Don't all Bond main baddies have a physical deformity in some way? Radcliffe could just be the angry short dude ala the QoS guy. I'm actually a fan anyway and it'd be fun to see him snarl a bit. Harry Potter for Bloefeld!

Actually, the fact they now own Bloefeld is awesome but I'm also fully expecting another "Thunderball" remake. Which we are overdue for at this point anyway.

Yeah, well this is Rome in the Bondverse, fortunately the traffic doesn't look like that. :p

This may be a minority view but, generally, I love the skiing sequences (except the cold open of A View To A Kill) in all of the older Bond films above basically anything else.

With, of course, the cold open to The Spy Who Loved Me being the pinnacle (even if I enjoy the bobsled run in For Your Eyes Only a bit more).

First Bond film I saw at the cinema. My mother took me, I think. Really iconic opening, camp though it is, and a terrific theme song by Carly Simon.

Meh. TSWLM's opening is bombastic but not Bondian.

I dunno, I kinda miss that a JAMES BOND movie was at the absolute pinnacle forefront of modern-day practical stunts. Even the ridiculous car jump in The Man With the Golden Gun did something no one had ever done before.

And I still rate the Union Jack jump as one of the top-3 greatest stunts of all time.

I always found the other Leiter just fine, and the one in Casino Royale really is no different, he just happens to be there and he and Bond get along.

Waste of time, to be honest, , sure the last few Brosan ones where not that great, but Casion Royale could have worked just as well (or badly) if they just made it another Bond movie in the regular series, if in fact it was even a Bond movie, which I still doubt, since it just lacks so much that makes a Bond movie.

It so badly lacking them is my major gripe with it.

It is in no way the best James Bond movie, it is not even a James Bond Movie. [face_not_talking]

As a good female friend of mine worded it, he is the Bond Girl of this movie, though he is much better in Skyfall, in Casino Royale he just doess not get to be James Bond, other then maybe that last scene for something like 5 seconds.

    Most of them? [face_dunno]

Well since Skyfall did a much needed character rescue intervention, I hope we can get back to form now.

    We arn‘t already?

Unless they completely wreck the franchise and try one for the fun of it, I think he will stay contemporary.

That’s how he was going to get paid for the hit he conducted, though the implication already pretty much is that Silva expected Bond to stumble onto it.

He doesn’t need to, he can kill her just fine any other time after that as well.

Yeah that was a little odd to say the least, and I figure there is a cut scene somewhere to explain why they could not send backup.

I hope they do something with it since it is clearly an attempt to get back to the roots.

Ah I have endured far worse as a James Bond fan.

    What?

She is fine, not great, not bad, just fine.

Aren’t we all happy that the stupid reboot attempt died within that one utterly terrible sequel to the most un-Bond Bond movie ever?

I badly hope they do something like another Golden Eye, just a fun action romp, with wit, exotic settings (which are just amazing in Skyfall btw and another thing utterly lacking in Casione Royal except for the very short segment set in Africa) and interesting characters and villains.

Gorefiend, you have a brief reprieve. Were you arguing with Wocky?

Funnily enough, your thoughts on this film series mirror my thoughts on your country as a whole, but unlike you I'm right.

You're wrong, Margaery Tyrrell is a penis-hungry slattern and the Bond films and books are wonderful.
