He already signed. [face_plain]

Luckily I've spent the last 4 years heavily invested in teams like the Spurs Bulls and Thunder, so I'm totes okay continuing to do that while hoping those two ****s find their way off the team.

I'm okay with Miller for two reasons:

    1) He's a vet who has playoff experience, and our young kids (Irving and Waiters, especially) can learn from him
    2) He's demonstrating that veterans will take less to come to Cleveland and play with LeBron ... something that didn't happen during LeBron 1.0.

Given my mild-to-semi-positive expectations as to how next season could go if certain things fall into place (chief among them, Kobe's health), I'm essentially nonplussed about this (and the Ed Davis signing, too).

Mike Miller trying to get Ray Allen to come to Cleveland. "We got James Jones, now we're moving Miami to northeast Ohio," he said.

    **** OFF MIKE MILLER

    **** OFF

I SO HOPE THE SPURS WIN THE TITLE WITH YOUR ASS ON THE BENCH NEXT YEAR

AND IF RAY ALLEN SIGNS I HOPE THEY WIN EVERY YEAR UNTIL HE RETIRES

    **** OFF MIKE MILLER

So what jersey number will Lebron wear? 6? 23? Or something else?
'i hope to god that its not the 6. Yeah he did that for the USA but way too many Miami memories.
23 is his old number but also Jordan's. So we will see.

    1) I LOVE that guy in the gif there...

    Always with the signs...

    [IMG] [IMG].

Is he a schmuck? Sure, but I don't care; also, how I left Sign Guy off my courtside regulars list/count for '13-'14 was a terrible oversight. It won't happen again.

And in looking for Sign Guy pictures, I came across this:

    Their identities revealed! :D

I don't fully know why this sort-of-thing makes me so happy. :p

    2) News concerning the Lakers point guard situation:

Now if he does indeed get re-signed after all that, then it's no big deal... however, should he not, then all of a sudden the focus on Lin intensifies, because who else is going to be the top option to run the point? 400-year old Steve Nash? Jordan Clarkson? An inflatable balloon in the likeness of Jerry West?

    3) It's been 6 days since Gasol announced that he's heading to Chicago, and yet...

The Boozer & Bazemore (who signed with Atlanta last week) inclusion there makes it all the more ridiculous & funny.

    4) http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/phil-jackson-details-talks-lakers-unraveled-autobiography-update-article-1.1869987]Phil Jackson with new insights on the Lakers, specifically Howard-D'Antoni, Jerry Buss' final days

The most salient point in my humble opinion:

"Dr. Buss left detailed instructions about how he wanted his children to run the Lakers after he was gone. He designated Jeanie to be in charge of business operations, Jimmy to oversee basketball personnel, and their older brother, Johnny, to have a high-level advisory role. After the funeral, however, Jimmy and Johnny were surprised to learn that Dr. Buss had named Jeanie as the Lakers’ voting member on the NBA’s board of governors. That decision essentially gave Jeanie final responsibility for the Lakers franchise."

Although he goes on to say that Jeanie & Fredo Jimmy talked things out to clarify their roles, it's quite clear that a defining leadership gap has been left since Jerry Buss' death. Though some of the issues concerning important matters (ie: free agency pushes) weren't the fault of the powers-to-be, there's still an undeniable pall of awkwardness about it all. Even with the obvious uncertainty of how this upcoming season will go, there's no denying that a lot of the shine has dimmed off the Lakers. It makes me think of a passage http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100505]from this 2010 Simmons article:

    Yikes.

I love the Lance signing for the Hornets. 3/27 with a team option for the third year is a way better deal than the max they threw at Hayward, or the even the money Parsons is getting. I think they are a playoff lock, and as you said, a threat for the top four.

Not sure if it was mentioned and I missed it, but my favorite part of LeBron going back to Cleveland is the Heat still owe the Cavs a first round pick from LeBron joining them. Awesome.

If rumors are correct that Minnesota is turning down an offer of Wiggins, Bennet, and a #1, I say Cleveland should end negotiations. Call Portland and offer that for Aldridge. Or, better yet, keep Wiggins and build for a Spurs-like window of contention.
