Saga "Off-camera" events that you would have liked to see

The Ewoks eating the Imperial prisoners after the Battle of Endor.

 

Seeing some of the rebels partying too hard after the Battle of Endor and accidently eating some roasted imperials.

 

Palpatine proposing the taxes and Sidious contacting the Trade Frederation with the blockade plan.

 

When I saw this thread title the first scene that came to mind was Luke constructing his Lightsabre before ROTJ. I am suprised not only to see someone else post this but also to see there was an actual deleted scene made!

I was always under the impression for some reason that Luke (and company perhaps) stayed at Ben's old hut when they were on Tatooine planning Han's rescue. I also assumed Luke build his new Lightsabre at Ben's hut.

 

Have you read Shadows of the Empire? It shows Luke constructing his lightsaber at Ben's hut. Preeeeety neat.

 

I just finished my first Star Wars book "Kenobi" which was quite good. I always wondered what Obi-Wan was up to on Tatooine all the years between Episode 3 and Episode 4.

I will check out Shadows of the Empire thanks.

 

Another scene I would have liked to see would be Chewbacca on the sail barge. When Luke removed Chewie's restraints it would have been cool to see Chewie immediately push by Luke and grab a skiff guard with one hand and throw them overboard like a rag doll. Another swings at Chewie with his axe and chewie grabs it, pulls it out of his hands, then grabs the guy and throws him overboard as well. A quick shot of a surprised look on Luke's face as even he is surprised by Chewie's strength would have rounded it out nicely. It would have been the perfect opportunity to see just how strong and powerful Chewie is (and why it's not wise to upset a Wookie).

 

I would have loved to see the beginning of ROTS changed around. Show the kidnapping of Palpatine by GG. Then you can have a shortened version of Anakin and Obi-Wan infiltrating the ship and making their way to rescue Palps.

Count Dooku in TPM leaving the Jedi Order. More Dooku in AOTC.

The Clone Wars happening (more than what we saw)

The Jedi Purge (again, more).

 

I've read that the original cut of ROTS was to be a little over 3 hours in length, with almost one full hour dedicated solely to rescuing Palpatine
Pfff I don't care about length, it's SW. I'd love to see it all

-The evacuation of Yavin IV and the Empire chasing them away from their base.
-The Dinner with the Empire on Bespin
-Luke lightsaber training with Yoda
-Yoda's reactions to Anakin for his relationship with Padme
-The Bothan's retrieving the plans for the second Death Star
-Luke rummaging through Obi-Wan's house on Tatooine, finding the lightsaber building instructions, etc
-Qui Gon interacting with Yoda in Ep.III
-Stormtroopers reporting they have nothing to report regarding the abandoned Dantooine base
-Stormtroopers contacting Vader at the Lars Homestead - and Vader's subsequent command for their execution.
-The Emperor dissolving the Senate

 

The Clone Wars made them personal again This is why I think TCW completes the Saga, details like that. GL clarified this when those episodes aired: finding your crystal and making your lightsaber are essential parts of Jedi training but the Jedi also practice non-attachment, so they don'y make a big deal about it if they lose their saber in the line of duty.

 

More interiors of the ships, especially the Munificent-class frigate.

 

What was Beru cooking before the Troopers came? That has haunted me my whole life . . .

 

Anakin talking about his former Padawan in RoTS. Seems pretty significant now.
