Yeah, I'm not a big Katie Holmes fan and there was more exposition in Batman Begins than I would have liked. Still a good film though, but not as good as The Dark Knight Rises.

 

Wow. Superman Returns over The Dark Knight. Don't see that very often. Or . . . ever until today.

 

I like it. It has moxie. And sometimes, moxie is enough.

Let's see, NotsoScuffy, Not my own ranking, but if I can extrapolate the movies you haven't seen based on comparing the results you gave, you should add the following:

Punisher- 3 stars. (remember though, there were 2 versions of the Punisher. Dolph Lundgren made a version)
Punisher War Zone- 1 star.
CA: Winter Soldier-31/2 Stars.
Amazing SM2-2 stars
XMen DoFP-31/2 stars
Guardians-31/2 stars
Watchmen-2 stars
Jonah Hex-forget about this movie-0 stars

I like Superman Returns much more than TDK, TDKR, and MOS(Batman Begins is fantastic though). My friends and family think I'm crazy. Maybe I am?

 

You're not. Superman Returns is a masterpiece and one of the best movies of that decade - terrific adventure entertainment with true heart and soul.

 

If it wasn't for a friend of mine at dinner last night making the claim that The Godfather Part III was a superior motion picture than The Godfather Part II, that would be the most ridiculous film-related statement I've heard thus far this weekend.

 

You should not be so dismissive of others opinions. It's very disrespectful.

 

It's not that I'm dismissive per se, but I'm greatly intrigued when I hear an opinion that goes against the common wisdom concerning certain films/tv shows, etc, even if I ultimatley disagree with the opinion.

 

Then you should try expressing that intrigue without being dismissive.

Also, "common wisdom"? Just because a line of thought is popular does not make it agreeable for everyone involved.
