I went to the store to buy fruit. Apples were $5 for 3. Grapes were $6.50 for a small container. What is wrong with the world?

At my grocery store, I can get a bag of apples for, like, four bucks.

I shopped once at their Northridge location; small, but a decent layout & selection.

I've don't know what else you have up there, but around here that's generally the best for selection/price combined with Trader Joes. I try to avoid the big ones like Ralphs and whatnot, they're insanely overpriced. F&E caters to single poor people pretty well.

 

There are Trader Joe's here in the Valley, but none in my immediate sphere (Northridge, Reseda); the Encino location is close-enough. Albertson's is the closest market to my place, and despite it being a big-box store, there are good enough deals to be had.

 

I don't know who Albert is but his sons are probably cheap trollops.

 

Given the "quality" of their store-brand whiskey I once bought, that assessment is certainly true.

 

Fruit may be expensive, but it is a necessity. You can't have apple time without apples. ​

 

Why just apple time when you can have apple-orange time? The best of both!
