I was unfamiliar with the word coruscant in 1997, and my instinctual pronunciation was still wrong--"cor-OO-sent". I pronounce Tantive "tahn-teev" and don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Ah, Lucas and co. and their strange 'n' counterintuitive pronunciations. Wasn't one of them "DOH-ku" for Dooku? Sure, in German or Estonian that might work, but... [face_dunno]

I mean, I'm fine with the ship's name being an homage to the hunting cry "tantivy," but if you want it to be pronounced the same too, then at least spell it accordingly ("Tantivi" or "Tantivee" or something). Sigh.

That said, things lie "Han" vs. "Hahn" and "LAY-a" vs. "LEE-ah" don't bother me quite as much, since they're the sort of small difference that could conceivably be chalked up to regional pronunciation differences in-universe. But it's not so easy to do that with something like "Tan-ti-vy" vs. "Tan-tive" (or "Tan-tihv").

I don't know why Sue Dooku is so popular.

Is that pronounced "merry" or "marry" or something different?

Some people on Twitter were just discussing the rumor about the original OT coming out on BR and whether it'd confuse the canon issue, and someone suggested putting the Legends banner on them. The actual story is irrelevant to me, but that would be the funniest thing that has ever happened.

The Original versions might as well be Legends.

I gotta admit, if they wanted to promote the Legends brand, it actually could be a pretty good marketing device.

And on the back of the box they could have quotes like: "The ORIGINAL CLASSIC back when HAN SOLO still SHOT FIRST!"

I got to admit, I feel sorry for the guy sometimes. :p No one should be made to say the things that he was made to say.

Bring on the hammy wooden boards!

While I enjoy a good hammy performance (at least it's entertaining), I'm not sure if it could save a movie if the other half is so wooden as to give you splinters.

I haven't watched any of his movies recently. Watching the angsty-teenager character all the time got old, although I do still have a fondness for Life as a House.

Maybe he'll pull a Leonardo DiCaprio and demonstrate that he has an acting range at some point.

    Probably not though.

I hope so. I wasn't a huge fan of his Anakin, but that was mainly a fault of the scripts and direction and I've always felt a bit bad for the guy for having been tarred with the prequel brush.

But I'm mainly hoping that, post-Episode VII, Mark Hamill's cinematic career suddenly takes off in a massive way.

So I have survived my first cosplay, it was fun and the creator of my character was there and was really happy that somebody cosplayed her creation. It was also fun when you guessed right about a cosplay and the other one was happy that you know/realised who s/he was :).
