I'm glad to see you're going forward with the project. Did you find an alternative for the moss green fabric paint?

Actually they had it at Michaels despite hearing that color of paint was discontinued. I'm also using Holiday green and Olive bright as well with the tan clothes.

That's good. I used basil as well, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. It really doesn't show up too good

Does any one know anyplace that still sells the Hasbro DH-17 blaster gun that I would be able use as a prop? I've seen them on ebay but I was wondering if anyplace else had them? Thanks.

Getting started today on my costuming workshop....I recent moved into my grandmas old house and in the basement my grandfather has a workshop that he use to repair TV's and still has a lot of tools that wiil be usefull and other fun stuff to maybe use as props. Also my grandmother had a section of basement as her sewing room so I have some of the to use as well or might have some stuff for some of the more avid sewing people in our group, send me a holler if interested. Might even have enough room for a vac table in the future although I will know more after I finish cleaning out the workshop and seeing how much room I actually have :D[face_dancing]

I've been seeing some Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy) cosplays pop up recently, and I noticed a costume item which may appeal to a few of our custom Jedi/Sith:

    Half Chaps
    [IMG]

Leather chaps which only go from ankle to knee, which when paired with a corresponding pair of shorter boot (or even loafer), can pull off an interesting-looking knee-high boot look without needing to pay for expensive boots or getting a new set of cheaper PVC boots after every few events. Like the PVC boots, the chaps will have a zipper somewhere, but the placement (and whether or not it's hidden) seems to vary a lot from chap to chap. So long as you don't mind the strap under the boot showing, it's a fun way to add variety to your costume (and for Jedi, likely give your boots a two-toned brown look). I've seen these priced online in a lot of different styles as low as ~$30 and upward from there. So if you already have a shorter boot or a pair of loafers that fit you, you're already halfway there.

I will eventually start working on my Mando. I have cardboard to use as templates, just need to get the correct material to mold. And the funds to procure a helmet.
