So, I got the "Lethal Weapon" soundtrack box set and I am impressed with what was cut from the film. Some I tend to agree and others, not so much.

Well, now that I know I won't get stuck with The Syndrome (thanks, sinister), I suppose I can stop in the Tavern and say hello.

    "Hello there." [/alecguinness]

It's been quite a long time since I've watched a SW film. I think I popped ROTS in sometime last year, but only skipped to certain scenes. Anyone going to watch any part of the Saga tomorrow on "Star Wars Day"? I'm tempted to take Star Wars or Empire for a spin tomorrow.

Wow, a fourteen month gap in tavern posts. Must have been closed for remodeling. Plus our bartender got lost in Kashmir years ago.

Windy! Good to see you make an appearance. I wonder what everyone else is up to these days. Anything new in the GFFA lately?

How is it 2015 and we still have double post issues?

Hi. I'm a newcomer. Finally making it over to the music threads. Haven't stopped by sooner because I'm a professional musician and need a break from that topic occasionally.
Anyhow, I'm listening to RotS again tonight and loving JW's music. Amazing.
Such a dramatic score. I particularly love "Anakin's Dreams" and "Palpatine's Teachings."
Can't wait to see and HEAR TFA!
    Thanks.

Yeah I've been listening to the SW scores the past few days. I'm a big fan of the prequel scores.

    For sure.
    I need to buy TPM.
From what I've read on other threads, it could be one of the best scores. I've only ever heard it while watching the film.

It's great, but the Ultimate Edition is cut up into lots of smaller tracks, which is annoying. Still good though, just a bit awkward.

Not if you listen to it straight through! :)

I'm pretty happy with the UE in general, especially considering the lack of expanded soundtracks for AOTC and ROTS. I do keep the concert version of DOTF from the original soundtrack in my playlists though.

Yeah, it's mostly fine, unless you have a music player that slightly pauses between tracks, causing a noticeable jar between the two.

You can have iTunes play gapless tracks without a pause.

Ah, but I don't have an Ipod.

I just edited the tracks together in Audacity, which works seamlessly most of the time.

How is it 2015 and we still have no complete AOTC and ROTS soundtracks available?

Oh god I agree. I really want those extra tracks. And I do dislike the UE, but it's better than nothing for sure.

I was binging on some of JW's finest over the weekend. I'm taking a break now, giving David Gilmour's Rattle That Lock some overdue listening. But I feel the force awakening in next month's playlist. It makes me stronger, gives me focus. Er, makes me feel happy.

Listening to John Powell's Pan. That score's like a breath of fresh air after a relatively lackluster year.

I've been kind of listless lately on what to listen to. Nothing has been jumping out at me.

My October playlist includes "The Battle Of Yavin", "Throne Room/End Title", "The Enterprise" and the 1812 Overture. All guaranteed to kick my ass out of any listlessness. Play them loud.
