ST Hidden Mickey's

Are there any hidden mickey's in The Force Awakens? Do you think Disney would do that?

 

No. Or at least I hope not. It's a Lucasfilm movie, not a Disney movie.

i love everything about this.

Yes, Lucasfilm made it but if one doesn't see the Disney influence perhaps one should watch it again? (do that anyway, it's totally worth it) But hey. i wouldn't mind it. Cleary if there are any they're well hidden and certainly not a distraction to the film.

This makes me wonder about the marvel flicks too, can you imagine? Super serious Civil War moment, hidden mickey just to the side of Steve's head.

 

I wondered about this going in, but didn't look for them. If I were making a movie for Disney, I would definitely try to stick a Hidden Mickey configuration in there somewhere. It definitely wouldn't be as big as the one in Tron but something.

 

Inb4 if you take the 2 Death Stars and have them orbit SKB you get a mickey.

 

If there are any it's a safe bet we'll be seeing screengrabs within 24 hours of the Blu-ray release

Hey if there is a Batmobile on the Falcon I'm sure there is a Mickey in there somewhere.

I'm afraid it's even worse than that...

 

While I love that Disney tends to slip Mickey into everything, I doubt they did Star Wars. As others have pointed out, while it's owned by Disney, it's not a Disney film.

If they did manage to do it, I'd think it was funny, I just don't think they would.

 

Now, I'm hoping there's something like the potato from ESB, or ET from the Senate scenes, or the 2001 Pod from Watto's junkyard

Edit: And the sneaker from the ROTJ space battle.

Edit edit: Just saw that there is apparently a hidden Mickey in ESB already.

 

I also somehow doubt that they would. Personally i wouldn't care but it would in a sense be like saying "We paid for it and now we're going to establish our territory by tinkling some Mickeýs on it". Maybe in the future if they have manged to win over all the die hard fans.


All that saidI did check the hologram chess board. I would have been a bold move to sneak him in among the creatures there.
