Very, very true. I assume that actually might be why Mandalore is in its sad state of affairs.

People complained about it? Looked sorta cool to me, I personally complained about her hair. Dafuq was up with the fo hawk ****. I honestly don't see the huge problem with that episode, it was one of my personal favorites. Cool new character that's a badass bounty hunter for the Black Sun. Cool fight scenes. Interesting space battle and cool ship (Shadow Caster is swag) and some backstory for Sabine. Only downsides being the fact that it felt rushed and Ketsu physically looking even less Mandalorian than Sabine...

You know what could be real cool if they make a Mandalore again but instead of having the past Mandalore's mask they need the dark saber.

YES. A MILLION TIMES YES. They should still have a signature Mand'alor helmet or whatever. Like the helmet they have has their Clan's symbol. Like how Pre Vizsla had Clan Vizsla's mark on his helmet.

I agree, but it would be real cool if there like Maul walked off with the saber and we have never been able to find it.

It would also be good if they said we think it might be on Morriban, Malachor or on Mandalore itself. just for some good foreshadowing.

Noooo. It would go to absolute waste. Remember! This is Disney XD! NO ONE gets cut by lightsabers! /sarcasm. Sorta. Not to mention she doesn't have any reason to have it.

Kevin McKidd is the Protector from the Recon preview. FPJ said in a podcast awhile ago somewhere that his character wouldn't be a one-off. I wonder how he'll tie in for future episodes.

Yay! More Mandalorians! I was sorta able to determine this from the fact that you are able to play as him in the Rebels game on the Disney XD website.

Death Watch's defacto ruler is Maul:

It's weird how you can read that in two ways
    1. Maul is not a Mandalorian because he does not care for traditions.
    2. Bo is just racist.

Yes so he is technically the Mand'alor. But it doesn't seem like he has any interest in Mandalore or in Death Watch anymore.

Old Mandalorian warrior tradition is to live and die by the sword and strength is above all else from what we learn on TCW, its a warrior culture above all else. There was no stipulation that one had to be Mandalorian to rule either Death Watch or Mandalore otherwise Vizsla could've laughed and shot dead Maul, Savage and Almec thus rejecting the duel on that basis alone. In the EU Mandalorians were any race or species(they even started off as an Alien species something like Predator) while in canon on TCW they were deliberately supposed to invoke Nordicist Nordic Aryan myth, Satine the socialist utopia while Death Watch/Old Mandalorian represents the nationalist and militaristic side thus National Socialists . Death Watch was never a good guy group anyway(Ming Po and killing their own people) and all that kinda thing. Probably important to keep this mind. Bo-Katan only switched sides because Maul killed Pre and took his place. Pre and Bo had conspired from the beginning to use Maul and then kill him, that plan of course did not come to fruition.

Agree that Death Watch were never very nice. But they are hardly the psychopaths that were Tor Vizsla and the Old EU Death Watch. Also I've compared the TCW Mandalorians as Death Watch and the other Mandalorian warriors are like ancient Celtic warriors and Vikings (albeit the Mandalorians are a lot more professional) and the New Mandalorians are like the current governments those countries have in place. Relatively peaceful.

They were suicide bombing Mandalorian citizens and blow torching unarmed men, women and children and before that they were enslaving them. So they're every bit as cruel and genocidal as the EU despite limiations of the format. So given time and production value, we could've seen Death Watch fully evolved to what Pre and Bo Wanted had Maul not slain Pre but even under Maul he was giving them what they wanted war and a chance at galactic conquest. So in either case, they would've succeeded in re-creating their former glory as genocidal maniacs. Don't forget, Mandalorians were the ancient enemy of the Jedi Knights as much as the Sith were. They were totalitarian conquerors as much as butchers of man rather like the Galactic Empire.

You do have a point. I guess one difference still is that Old EU Death Watch wanted to conquer the entire Galaxy. Pre Vizsla showed he was perfectly content with just Mandalore when he told Maul he didn't care about the other neutral systems. Why did you mention the Empire though? They have committed atrocities that make Death Watch's act look like games. I mean I do feel the Empire isn't 100% evil, but they've done some seriously terrible stuff.

Its like they say, bad guys do not think they're bad. Filoni made a comment about the Empire makes the trains run on time which is a reference to Mussolini. The Empire can do some good things, usually its for their own gain and gain peoples sympathy and allegiance and most people even in real life don't care as long as they get taken care and things work and all of that kinda thing. The Galactic Empire murders and enslaves people even on Rebels . Xenophobia also plays a part. The Empire even uses a Nazi inspired flag on Rebels. What Vizsla said to Maul was untrue since he was betraying Maul at that point and we know he would've brought Mandalore into the war on the side of the Separatists. Death Watch wanted galactic war and conquests and thats what Maul gave them by SOD. To bring down the Republic, the Separatists, the Jedi the Sith ect. There was gonna be all out war, we only saw the beginnings and earlier stages as Death Watch was mobilizing and mechanizing an army that would've eventually been used on a galactic scale. Death Watch alone was too small to do much since they numbered only 5,000 officially but under Maul's command they managed to take on two Droid armies under Grievous and a Jedi led Republic task force. For a small band they give the enemy very high casualties and managed to elude capture & annihilation which was the intent of both the Republic and Separatists.

A lot of people forget that when people do bad things they don't think there bad at the time.

This of course is very true. I wonder how Fenn Rau and the other Mandalorians feel about working for the Empire, considering if they know any of the atrocities they've committed.

You know I'm surprised we haven't pointed this out yet. Where are these Concord Dawn Mandos' wrist gauntlets and jet packs? I'm going to assume it was budget issues but from a canonical standpoint it doesn't make much sense? Also why does the armor now consist of rebreather tubes and an extrusion of sorts above the visor? Interesting... Makes me wonder why Boba's armor is still Clone Wars era styled.
