generally, in america, the people most comfortable with denying a specific scientific fact are those the most comfortable with denying other scientific facts.

Scientifically speaking, a fetus is a human life...

    Check the DNA.

Scientifically speaking, gravity is a theory too.

And by the way, a substantial portion of the US population, if polled, would probably tell you the Earth is 6,000 years old.

No. A cell having human dna doesn't make it a human being.

A living cell growing, separating, creating new cells and maturing based on it's own individual set of instructions is certainly life. And the DNA shows it's human.

But don't worry, that's only science. Feel free to kill it anyway. Of course, if it can be killed it must be alive. But don't let that stop you either. It's defenseless anyway. Do what you will.

You can't just declare things to be science.

J-Rod's been trying for weeks, he works it in as a non-sequitur at every opportunity, and for some reason Prenn and V03 and Vivec were dumb enough to take the bait this time.

He was extra devious this time, putting it in the middle of another science topic.

Last time it was a poor attempt at trolling. This time it's legitimate.

The best part of it was the claim that somehow DNA isn't science. Maybe it's art? Or possibly, and ironically, religion? Who knows? But it certainly ain't science.

Sure. But it's not growing. It's not in a process of living. You could, I suppose, make the claim that it's in the process of dying. But a drop of you blood is just a piece from a living thing (you). It's not a living organism. A fetus is a living organism. As single cells reproduce into multiple cells. A drop of blood does not have these capabilities.

Anyhoo, back to reality. Since no one is commenting on Sanders' campaign claiming an endorsement they didn't get again, we'll go back to policy. :p

One on generic money-in-politics (not specifically Sanders-related, per se):

And this is too far Right for my taste, but assume the stats used from CBO on add'l job loss from Sanders' healthcare plan vs. the ACA is roughly-correct:

The abortion debate is really tiresome. Can't we discuss something relevant, like whether the British should tax tea?

Maybe because liberals consider the presidency where most of the high stakes are regarding their agenda, SCOTUS appointments, etc? Not sure.

That will be hard for some people to figure out since they consider Obama to be a communist. They must think Sanders is Marx incarnate.
