Thanks! I did these as a way to get into character for my DDC 2016 so hopefully I (or rather Fives ) will get the chance to do some more in the future. I only really uploaded them here to work out how to insert images in case I somehow messed up my ff thread haha. It was really nice to get back to doing some drawing after such a long time.

When I looked at the first one I had the song "Brothers in arms" from Dire Straits play in my head. For you can really see the deep bonds between those man.

The second one reminds me of paintings dedicated to WW2. Once a living, breathing human wore this helmet and now he is gone.

I like the softness of your lines. They give everything a certain reflectiveness.

 

I love the pencil work you've got going on there. Great expression, gesture, and fantastic use of focus in the fg and fuzziness in the bg!

 

This is incredible. I love your shading and the character's expressions. Composition is perfect, too.

The second image reminds me of a Star Wars tales short.

 

Beautiful pieces, nice shading to sculpt out the forms.

Not only that child Anakin is a great, underrated character, but this photo-realistic rendition of him got me feeling...almost inadequate. This is a breathtaking drawing you have right there! I adore the shading, the detail - you even got the teeth gap, freckles and the texture of the helmet right. BRAVO!

 

When I saw your new avatar, my first thought: "Is this more of G's artwork?"

Honestly, what an incredible talent you have! How long did it take you to draw that?

A day . . . good grief! That's amazing to me that you can gin out that kind of quality in a day.

 

You have beautifully captured a side to Anakin that most have forgotten about.
