No title or character has been announced yet, but we have a date, director and writer:

In addition to the episodes of a new Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm and Disney have begun development on multiple stand-alone movies that will offer new stories beyond the core Saga. Gareth Edwards will direct the first stand-alone film, with a screenplay by Gary Whitta. The film is due out December 16, 2016.

We have a title! (Well, announced a couple weeks back now)

    "ROGUE ONE"

Oscar nominee Felicity Jones will be starring, and is the only actor announced yet.

Any word on when tickets will go on sale? Anyone interested in standing in line? If so where?

I believe we're talking about going to the Thursday night showing at the Continental again. I think we're going to firm up our plans, and possible volunteering at a theater that weekend, at the next meeting on Sunday. Grimby was going to look into a partnership with the Continental.

    Is that right?

At the meeting, we talked about going to the Continental on Thursday night. pagil m'gar, aka Patrick in the Rebel Legion, will be taking the lead on a group viewing that night. Details will come when they're available regarding the time and how to purchase tickets and whether there will be a group discount and/or reserved seating.

Doubly interesting is that nobody on the council has heard of this commitment before the email was sent to the general public. Anybody here have more information on this event?

We're interested in doing it, for sure, but learning about this type of event via email, was...awkward. Assuming that WOTR really does mean us and not RL or the 501st.

And for clarity, the Friday showing is at their Denver location, but Saturday's is in Colorado Springs. What's a bit unclear is if we're expected to be at the Saturday screening.

Looks like the 7pm premier on the RPX screen is in 3D. Do we want to all get tickets for the 7:30 2D show? They go up in 48 hours. I'll start a mass FB convo.

Wouldnt we want to see it on the big screen regardless of 2D or 3D? Assigned seats make it all the easier.

Looks like a lot of us are attending the 7pm showing Thursday night at the RPX in 3D. Row N is where the cool kids are sitting. ;) Gonna be fun!!

If you haven't taken advantage of this offer yet, it saved me $10:

We have nothing planned or organized this year, but can help support anything the other groups have in mind. X-wing project and Wings will be bringing the X-Wing to the Continental but we haven't really been asked to assist with that at this point.

Has anybody heard of the Rebel Legion or 501st Mountain Garrison doing anything? We asked during our meeting, but nobody knew of any theater/SW group activities.
Did plans fall through with the Continental, pagil m'gar?
