It's in Temple Of Doom. During the ritual sacrifice. Not the melodic part, but the choral parts are recognisable.

Oh yeah! There are some choral similarities now I think about, though the melody is different.

The Rope Bridge from TOD is also quite similar to The Street Singer and the other Tatooine street music tracks from TPM.

The main Trade Federation droid army music comes straight from Last Crusade's Berlin sequence too.

    Wasn't that source music though?

As in, not composed by Williams. Unless you mean the blimp scenes?

The Droid Army music is heard in the Berlin sequence and the Zepellin scene is in Berlin.

So which scene specifically sounds like the TF march?

    The book burning scene?

I have to go with the March, but DOTF is a mighty piece of music, up there with the best in SW.

Duel of the Fates--so resplendently operatic it would make Carl Orff take notice.

Love Imperial March, but Duel of the Fates is great. Too bad DotF wasn't re-recorded for Episode III. I found that it was kind of shoehorned into the battle at the end.

They are both epic, but I gotta say the Imperial March.

Both great pieces but the Imperial March for me. It is more easily adapted into other pieces and works seamlessly when it is used. The brief times that it appeared in TFA and RO was great.

This is a tough one, but I'm going with the former as the stronger piece. I love The Imperial March, but Duel of the Fates is unique among Star Wars music for its ability to evoke the truly mythical nature of the timeless battle between good and evil that forms the core of this franchise. John Williams is The Man. =D=

As great as duel of the fates is, I agree that it doesn't get much variation throughout the PT as the Imperial March enjoys in the two movies it appeared in (originally).

There's a reprise of it during Anakin's quest on Tatooine and the piece scored for the duel in ROTS is similar but that's about it.

Both are perfect in their respective points in the saga. Neither is better or worse. Both fulfill their role very well. I will not rate them, but see them as equal. Imperial March was perfect in Empire, as well as ROTJ and AOTC. Fates was a perfect new theme for the PT. None of them is better IMO, both are good when they appear in the saga. I don't like rankings. I prefer to appreciate each theme in its proper context, they are different but equal in quality.

The Imperial March. I love hearing it every time it's used and in all its variations.

I like the Duel of the Fates more during the Yoda/Sidious fight. Fate of the galaxy and all that.
