Do we need spoiler tags for this?

DDP - on the one hand meh, on the other, uhhhhhh.
Rude - way overdue. Seriously underrated guy.
Regal - meh, but fair enough. He's done decent work with NXT and has always been compliant with WWE BS.
    Christian - fine.
Disasters - seriously? Tenta has a fairly good case having had memorable runs in WWF, WCW and Japan, but Shockmaster?
IRS - Mike Rotunda would make much more sense, surely?
Taker - I doubt it. More likely next year, assuming this is his last WM.

I just wish they could induct Mr. T every year....

Joe is next to be called up and will get a monster push by Vince. He'll be given a big match at Mania, too.

Kenny Omega is being advertised for the New Japan Cup and has been offered a new two year deal (likely no longer on gaijin money); no word if Omega has accepted the deal, but probably has if Kenny is being advertised heavily.

RoH have more or less shown Kyle O'Reilly the door. Was meant to appear at an event this weekend and was set to finish up tapings, but management might have given him the "GTFO" approach.

Josh Barnett is going to TNA. Dude rocks the **** on commentary, and has more Wrestling knowledge then I ever will.

Not a bad Wrestler either, and given his UFC background it would be a missed opportunity not to have him have a run in with Lashley.

Adam Cole's interview is really interesting. Seems unsure if to join WWE or stay with ROH/NJPW.

I just listened to the latest Jim Cornette Experience and he took a big steaming dump on Okada vs Omega. He's still very sore about Omega's past crimes against wrestling and thinks the guy should be beaten ****less and blackballed rather than main eventing WK! His main problem with the match seemed to be that the order of high spots was illogical, that there was too much visible cooperation between the two. I can't disagree with that part of his conclusion.

WWE has a working agreement with Progress in the UK, according to WhatCulture. Might have another agreement with ICW, too. But it is likely the UK Championship will be defended in Progress and is probably will be the UK "WWE promotion"

    HUGE NEWS!

Second UK promotion gets TV deal. 5 Star Wrestling will air LIVE 8pm-10pm on SpikeTV.

    [edit]

It will also air on Channel 5 (free channel) as well (according to some folk)

    January 28th.
The card is pretty stacked, with more well known names than WOS - including former WWE talent. ROH wrestlers are appearing, too, along with UK indie talent.

Nobody knows if this is a one off, but Drew Galloway kinda hinted this wasn't a one off deal*. Someone on Reddit (probably false) is suggesting a third UK promotion could have a TV deal lined up.

*it isn't one off. Their specials (aka PPV's) are to be aired live in the UK.

Crazy that all these people are getting deals before ICW, though they seem to have abandoned getting a TV deal in favour of doing the internet thing. Wonderful news anyway. Channel 5 do not have much stick-with-it-ability when it comes to supporting niche interest shows though. I also find it weird that Spike should want to get back into wrestling, but UK Spike is a very different animal I suppose.

ICW would have to water down to meet OFCom guideline.

Going by Twitter and Facebook, most of WWE's US Network users either didn't watch the UK tournament or, if they did, hated it and were confused by the style it was being presented as.

Only guys I've heard that stuck out were Dunne and Tyler Bate. Matches were nothing great.

The matches were more or less presented near identical to something you see in a UK indie show, but toned down. PROGRESS guys were not that stiff and quite tame.

Watched the second part of the UK tournament. Much better than the first. All the matches were really good. Wolfgang even stood out.

Pete Dunne is great, but he would need to be part of s group. Not on his own.

This *has* to be kept away from Vince and Dunn.

In two nights, the WWE made three stars without any stupid backstage segments or scripted promos. "Doing it in the ring" got them over; this will end up like the cruiserweights, if the man branch of management gets a hold of them. This needs to stay under the control of Trips.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pete Dunne has a NXT contract waiting for him, or already signed, to be honest. Also, it seems WWE has a talent sharing agreement with PROGRESS because Balor, Tommy End and Neville were working their show prior to Night 2. A friend of mine is a PROGRESS regular and has noticed an increase of cameras and production crews.

Be interesting if it is a) true and b) will PROGRESS appear on the network (a UK promotion is rumoured to be in discussion) and c) some of PROGRESS talents have ROH/NJPW deals as well. So some of their big names will be unable to appear on WWE TV.

Shibata has been cheating on his wife for two years and text messages have appeared in the Japanese press. The girl, who he was having an affair with, claims to have nudes of him and is threatening to release them; in NJPW, you can actually be suspended for immoral actions. Tiachi faced that punishment 4 years ago.

This news came out after WK11. Now you know why he lost to Goto. You can forget about him winning the New Japan Cup or G1 this year.

    Back in the doghouse (again).
