Saw this thread and thought he died.

 

there were rumors he died earlier in the month but turned out to be false. he is my dads age 62 years old.

 

I was honestly surprised to find that they're still making weekly episodes of the Simpsons. I've been watching irregularly and I have to admit, the recent season has been great.

 

Netflix released Promotional Images For Disenchantment I think It looks cool! Kind of looks like Benders Game!

I think it looks spectacular! it has 3D like Futurama which makes sense Rough Draft is doing the animation! Rough Draft did the animation for Futurama! I always thought Futurama's animation was way better then the Simpsons because of the 3D !!!

 

Yah this really seems like they took the entire Futurama crew and sorta just moved them over to this. And, to be fair, Futurama did a lot of Fantasy episodes, especially near the end. So I'm down!

 

There's a lot of classic Simpsons and Futurama talent on this, it'll either be something really special or we're all going to have to do some uncomfortable self-reflection about the nature of comedy show development.

Anyway, looking forward to it.

 

I mean I love Seth McFarlane His Cartoons are very funny and I love The Orville but between The Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland show all his Cartoons are the Same they are carbon copy clones of one another and I love the Ted movies but they are basically The Family Guy with a bear and Mark Wahlberg. Matt Groening has much less of a track record basically the Life In Hell Comic Strip and Futurama and The Simpsons and each of Groening's creations are different and unique in there own right! All that being said Groaning got it all started back in 1989 with Adult themed Cartoon Sitcoms with out the Simpsons Groanings shows doesn't exist. I think this show will be great and I plan on Binging it all in one day on the 17th of August! and then hopefully the rest of the year binging it over again several times!

yea Futurama was kind of a cross between Science Fiction Fantasy Comedy with a great love Story and great story in general I loved Benders Game and this looks different then even that!

 

my bad I meant without Groening and the Simpsons Seth McFarlane's shows don't exist.

 

the design of the little ebony demon thing looks kinda cool as in how basic it is.

 

I think the show is a mix of Futurama and Adventure Time from the looks of it!

I am guessing a trailer for Disenchantment is coming soon! may be this weekend or Monday or Tuesday?

 

I'd wager right when the comic con panel happens we'll see more Disenchantment. But I'm good, it's less than a month and the one trailer was enough.

 

I love trailers though I don't feel most trailers spoil in anyway.

It looks interesting. Being on Netflix he hopefully has more freedom with it. I still miss Futurama though.
