I don't know if it is too late to provide input on this, but putting slave security ships into terrorists wouldn't be safe either. If we have to sedate them to put them in, doesn't that mean they are already in our grasp? And if they blow up, then there is no information we can get from them. I'm not sure if this option was still being considered, but I know it is not the best one.

I mean put the chips in the prisoners and release them. Detonate the chips when they have arrived with the enemy.

 

I'd rather not second-guess the troops. They're trained for this stuff. Senator Nubboda, we can give the tools to the team and let them make the call on the ground. Senator Falcon, I'm sure they would appreciate the expanded (and undercover, most likely) inclusion of your fellow fleet.

Good day, Senator DarthIshyZ, sorry for the delay in responding as I was having a long but fruitful meeting with the BOD of the CEC. And by fruitful, we have come to an agreement to loan some of our freighters for this mission, should it get the green light from all Senators. In fact, we have five such ships available and all were previously used by several intergalactic corporations based in Coruscant and Corellia, all of which are now on the second-hand market but without a buyer yet.

There are two glaring issues here. Please focus on them.

1. The hostages on Muunillist are recovered with no casualties

2. The terrorists insisting that we release their comrades.

I believe senator TheSilentInfluence has a point with an undercover operation being the best option here. Cor-Sec teams are on stand by. I would like to see the senator's support teams from Naboo be planeted into Muunillist local law enforcement as so make certain this isn't some kind of "inside job." I thank senator Millennium Falcon 888 for his donation of ships. We can use these for logistics as these types of freighters are common and will raise no alarm.

We have received intelligence reports from our Nabooian operatives. There is an extremist group that has infiltrated the Muunilist banking clan circle and the current hostage situation seems to be a first strike against the New Republic's establishments. We have found out the new incarnation of the Techno Union will be targeted next next. Senators, there is an underworld that is trying to marginalize us. What say you?

 

Certainly this extremist group has its own powerful enemies. Perhaps we could work on building alliances with them to help us combat this group.

 

We need to get them into custody if we can and interrogate them. Getting more information at this point is important but we also must make sure that we handle this safety so no one gets hurt or caught in the middle.

You all know I'm the last one to condone violence. It does seem that we are getting to that point though. Is there any vulnerability in their situation, Chancellor Furio? Can we get a droid in there with a stun-grenade or something? Perhaps under the guise of negotiating peace?

 

I still suggest the implants. Cost-effective and zero risk to your troops. If we sedate the imprisoned terrorists, they won't even know they have implants.

 

And I still say that we shouldn't use the same tactics as slavers. We need to capture them and interogate them.

 

As do I. The Ethical absurdity of such a tactic goes without saying I believe. And I would expect this to be a point senators on both sides of the isle ought to concur on.
