Hey everyone. I read the Thrawn Trilogy for the first time last year, and was captivated by the Grand Admiral. I also watch Star Wars Rebels and read the Thrawn novel. I guess it's safe to say that I should read all of the Zahnverse of novels at some point if I like Thrawn? Though I would imagine he isn't in all of Zahn's novels.

 

No, he's not. However, he is in Choices of One and Outbound Flight, and his influence is felt in the Hand of Thrawn duology and Survivor's Quest.

I'm really late to answer, but if you like Thrawn you will surely enjoy the "Legends" books about him. I recommand to read them as they were published (so not in chronological order), so I would say:

(The Thrawn trilogy. You'll discover a darker Thrawn there, after years in the Empire, so not as friendly as in the Thrawn novel. Many people love him that way)
- Heir to the Empire
- Dark Force Rising
- The Last command

(novels)
- Mist encounter (most of it can be read at the beginning of the new Thrawn book)
- Command decision
- Side Trip

(The Hand of Thrawn duology) (Thrawn is not directly in it but you learn a LOT about him in these books)
- Specter of the past
- Vision of the future

- Outbound flight (before Thrawn was recruited by the Empire. He's more friendly and quite close to the one you see in the new book "Thrawn")
(you can read "Survivor's quest" before Outbound flight, Thrawn is not in it but it was made to be read before it, you can do without but it makes you discover more about the Chiss)

- Choices of One
