Comics Star Wars #33-37: Out Among the Stars & Annual #3 (6/6 Released)

Guessing this arc will probably give us a canon look at how the Luke and Leia incest situation works

 

I already said it before: As long as the situation is more like "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" and not like another "teenies stranded on an island" romance, we'll probably be fine.

 

I already feel awkward.

 

What are the odds that Leia will be "angry" at Luke for some unexplained reason for spending so much time with Aphra in Screamin Citadel

 

If Luke shows attraction to her, I've got not problem with that because it's pre-RoTJ. He's got a good excuse called lack of important information.

 

"I know. Somehow, I've always known."

"Really?! What about that time on the island then?!"

 

No way, no how, nada is the new canon going to even lean slightly towards romantic entanglements, the kisses in the movies are something they try to breeze over. I'm guessing they'll definitely be sympatico in a lot of ways towards getting out of their situation. There's a moment earlier on when both Luke and Leia came up with the same plan basically talking over each other, I expect a lot of that.

Im sure their were some fans before ESB that would have preferred Luia to be a thing.


While Im sure it would gross some fans out, Luke should be presented in this comic as having a little crush on her. No kissing. Of course he knows its better to not try to form a romantic relationship with her (could be for various reasons, maybe he doesn't want to ruin their friendship, possibly he realizes Han likes her). Further showing Luke growing up.

At least Leia's not like she was in the archie comics were one issue she'd be having "feelings" for Luke in front of Han then a few issues later be doing the same thing for Han in front of Luke. Talk about one big tease!

 

ANH leave open the possibility to Luke/Leia and Leia/Han


In the old ESB script versions that we can find on internet, HanLeia are always a thing but there was also a love triangle Han/Leia/Luke (but in Leigh Brackett's draft Leia chose Han while Luke still has feeling for Leia). I hate love triangle so I liked Leia/Luke being siblings (then they didn't end the trilogy without a family)

 

Star Wars '77 (aka, A New Hope without any other context but A New Hope) not just leaves open the possibility of either, that end sequence has been read by some as implying we have a full-blown trio on our hands. It was the seventies, after all.

 

Han/Luke/Leia still is a popular ship... cersei and jaime approve

 

That, I've never seen suggested before, but at the very least, nothing had been set in stone yet. Anything could have gone any way.

 

Well, Luke is around 20 and single, Leia is around 20 and single, they have similar interests and goals, they've been together in death threatening situations, Luke clearly shows in ANH he likes Leia, and now they are alone and stranded, and desert islands are known to get very cold in the evenings...

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole purpose of this arc is for Leia to ultimately and officially friendzone Luke for all eternity in the canon.

After all, aside from a deleted scene in ESB, Luke doesn't really show any feelings towards Leia. Yeah they kiss in front of Han but we all know the context in that scene so I shouldn't have to explain it.

 

And a big mistake happens and another skywalker is born.....

Given up to adoption then later frozen. Awoken in an age of a New Republic, then later dumped on jakku.
While it would be disgusting, and is a big crackpot theory, it would explain Rey's power level.

 

This thread could probably could do with dialing down the enthusiasm for incestuous vibes/actions...

Luke: No, no we don't.

 

They can stay together, for body heat reasons. In the name of survival they stick close. All being done while keeping their platonic relationship intact.

Part of the description of this comic, "Luke and Leia finally get some time alone…",

Is just begging for the various jokes that we have already thrown at it.
