Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Sand That Gets Everywhere

 

Prediction: We'll see Obi-Wan having a nightmare about the time he separated Anakin's limbs from his body.

 

Finanlly get to see him earn the "crazy old hermit" reputation.

 

I'm not looking forward to seeing this, Obi-Wan's life has been covered enough as it is. We've seen enough of him. This is beating a dead horse. Him in exile on Tattooine is not an exciting premise for a movie. Why are they so scared to branch out and go in a new direction? do they really think no one will watch a SW movie that isn't about an iconic character? The GFFA covers thousands of years and countless planets/characters yet they just have to retread the same material over and over and over and over. A movie about the DS plans, now a Han Solo movie, now an Obi Wan movie. What's next? an R2-D2 movie? a C3PO movie? an Admiral Ackbar movie? Can someone find Kathleen Kennedy and tell her to do something new.

I feel like SW does not have to be tied to Luke Skywalkers story and as an extension everyone involved in it. The GFFA is such an imaginative, vast, unique setting with endless possibilities. I could come up with 20 new stories set in the GFFA in 2 minutes that don't involve any characters that already exist.

Either this film takes place before TPM or it will be just as big a disaster as Rogue One. These corporations are so skilled at making all the wrong decisions. And you guys just eat it up.

 

Yeah.... such a disaster that Rogue One. Especially getting into so many people's top 3 SW movies.... what a load of poodoo

This is branching out and going in a new direction for the reasons you have stated you don't want to see the film.

Krayt Dragons were terrifying in Dark Forces video game. Would make for a great action set piece.

 

I imagine if they didn't feel they had a good purpose to make an obi wan movie then they probably wouldn't be making one.

We can probably guess the movie will have a budget of at least 100 mil so its probably gonna have something more going on then obi wan just chilling on tatooin.

 

Is this definitely happening or is it just another rumour blown out of context?

 

I am really excited for an Obi Wan Movie I hope this happens and I hope Ewan McGregor Is on Board It wouldn't feel right with out him.

Depends when it's set. Doubt Maul will ever be mentioned in the films again though. There's unified canon, and there's confusing an audience who didn't watch Clone Wars

 

They brought Maul Back he has Metal Legs They brought him back he was in The Clone Wars and Rebels Cartoon that Is Canon!

 

I think he meant that he's dead in canon too
