As for Aphra, I generally like her (even though she is often far too lucky), but I don't want Vader to turn into a Scooby Do villain. "If it weren't for that meddling archeologist." There better be a very good reason why she survives, maybe in the vein of Vader letting her live for some nefarious purpose like he did in the good ol' Marvel comics to Orman Tagge.

 

Vader is going to be in the new Obi-Wan movie, I know it. He simply has to pop up in some capacity. But what scene will he be in? They can't really have them meet so I suspect Obi will see a news-report featuring Vader.

That´s such a great theory!! reminds me of the epilogue in RODV, where Obi Wan was in a cantina and nearly suffers a stroke when we sees an holonet news with Vader on it.

The first thing I was thinking when I knew about that movie, was "who could be the antagonist?". Jabba, a new pirate, some bounty hunters or even an Inquisitor in the shadows could work, since it wouldn´t be a matter of Kenobi defeating her/him, but to be able to go unrecognized to avoid Vader being notified. Or perhaps it´s Prefect Talmont´s moment to shine!!! haha...

It´s unfathomable indeed!! it´s just the coolest thread with the nicest people!

 

Hopefully not too much like obvious fan service, perhaps less of an appearance then even Rogue One while still being awesome of course.

 

Well, the corridor scene in Rogue was very fanservicy and very popular at the same time. The take-away message for Disney execs will be fanservice + Vader = lots of dollars. So if anything we'll probably get even more fanservice in the future.

I see it. I especially like how the pose puts his lightsaber down and out, defending Padmé, while his fist is in Palpatine's face, giving him a black eye.

It was a no-brainer, really. Because our Vader totally wants to give Palpatine a black eye......and so much worse.
