I'm surprised Kenneth Morgan didn't do an obligatory/compulsive/masturbatory "lest we forget" post for Diana. Slowpoke beat you there, KM.

That's because he's rarely (that I recall) done one in this thread. He's usually done them where in an appropriate fandom thread or in the This Day in History thread.

Yes it was sick. The whole way it was treated was a farce too.

Don't get me started on the grief of the nation either.

Either way it was 20 years ago and the Newcastle vs Liverpool match was cancelled as a result, I was drunk in Spain and subsequently gutted when I found out.

If I post about another celebrity that dies this year, no matter if somebody feels they are obscure or not, I don't want to hear any flack about it

Believe it or not, people are still dying in this century. Like Richard Anderson aka Oscar Goldman on The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman TV shows, who died from natural causes yesterday at the age of 91. Besides the role that defined his career, he was in some notable films like Forbidden Planet, The Long, Hot Summer and Kubrick's Paths to Glory. After TSMDM, he spent the 80s guest-starring on a variety of series and returned for the various made for tv Bionic movies. He was active on the convention circuit and by all accounts a good guy. R.I.P., sir.

He was also immortalized in 2005's The 40-Year Old Virgin (1:48).

I was a huge Six Million Dollar Man fan as a kid, so he was something of a fixture in my childhood; later on, being a fan of movies with sword-fighting in them, I was delighted to find him playing Stewart Granger's best friend in Scaramouche, one of the great fencing movies of all time. I still think of him as Oscar Goldman though.

@};- Sorry to hear about Richard Anderson.

I was a big fan of the Bionic Woman as a little girl. When I was playing Bionic Woman at a friend's house, I pretended I heard Oscar's voice as I tried to stop "something coming through a window". Unfortunately, my hand went through that window instead (thank goodness, no stitches.)

Shelley Berman, known recently as Larry David's father on Curb Your Enthusiasm, has passed away.

Highly recommend the Kamikaze Bingo episode to see him.
