Comics Poe Dameron #20-25: Legend Found (6/6 released)

I do!

It hasn't been consistent (the first two arcs in particular) but there's always something that I can enjoy - whether it's Poe himself, Leia, tidbits about the Republic and the First Order, or some X-wings flying around. I confess though, I can forgive a lot in a comic if I like the artwork, and I love both Noto and Unzueta's work, whereas I don't have the same attitude the other way around. If the artwork is bad, the writing has to be sublimely fantastic to make up for it.

 

I feel like this picture is missing Poe giving the bird to a TIE pilot.

I hear you. To me the story has been pretty boring and I am only lukewarm on the art. I am reading hoping it goes somewhere but it's my least favorite.

I like it mainly because several of its key characters are not in TFA so it is up in the air as far as several of their futures go. But yes the story does seem pretty dull at times though it seems to be picking up now now that it looks like the series is wrapping up.

 

But the Poe Dameron comics are good

so i guess we got our confirmation of the "Conflict" thats been going on for a while it's the "Cold war". nice.

 

Now I want a comic that's just a tour of all the Corporate Alliance worlds and their histories. Make it happen Marvel

 

Man, I've wondered for literal years what happened to Lott Dod. It's hilarious that just "he died" is still more than (AFAIK) we ever got in Legends.

 

You're right. I had to weep a little fanfic nostalgia tear there when I read it. I personally always wanted him, Nix Card, and Gume Saam to have gone off on crazy adventures during the Empire Era but... alas.

 

Most likely after the Battle of Jakku and the Signing of the Galactic Concordance.

 

No, the First Order isn't revealed to exist until sometime following Bloodline and the secession of some of the Centrist worlds from the New Republic. The cold war is a relatively new occurrence, I'd be surprised if it's been going on for more than a handful of years.

Remember, we have nearly two decades of uninterrupted peace and rebuilding under the New Republic, before the secession crisis and the rise of the First Order.

I just imagine them on like a big road trip across the galaxy a la Green Arrow/Green Lantern, "hard traveling Seppies" if you will.

I wouldn't mind if this series continues past TLJ, that is, if Poe survives

 

According to the TFA Visual Dictionary, the cold war was first between the New Republic and Imperial Remnants and then the IR reorganized into the First Order.

 

It seems increasingly likely that a fair amount of the TFA Visual Dictionary background, and other stuff from the same time, wound up being overwritten for whatever's planned in TLJ.

Of course, there may have been two cold wars.

 

I love that we will see Cato Neimoidia! I always have the feeling that the PT and the ST don't have any connection. The only ones i know atm are the commando droid from this series and Kix. We didn't see most of the PT planets in this timeline, not even Coruscant (or did we?). We didn't see many PT aliens (and even OT aliens) in this timeline, too. I doubt we will see a Twi'lek, Rodian or any alien from the PT in TLJ. I mean i would suspect at least Twi'leks in the casino world. This is one of my many problems with TFA. But I think it will be better in the future.
