    Ducain, The Irving Boys, & Unkar Plutt all seem to be members of the criminal underworld. The kind Han Solo would have connections to. I've long thought that Del Toro would be Ducain as well. Possibly even Rey's absentee father.

    The twist is the Irving Boys, Ducain and Unkar Plutt are all time travelers and Gangs of New York is a prequel to TLJ.

    Absentee father could be a possibility. Lately I have been thinking that his character could be her Uncle. But that is just me taking a very wild guess at this point.

    if DJ is cardinal i wouldn't be surprised if he has a drinking problem.
    cardinal had been so duty bound until his crisis of faith and had never touched alcohol. but after, he drank to excess trying to wipe it from his mind. he noticed that didn't help. but still this would be a person who is haunted and filled with pain/remorse. and although alcoholism makes everything worse in the long run, in the short run it can offer blessed forgetfulness.

    I keep thinking DJ's the dirtier, rougher, and more desperate example of a smuggler in FO territory. They can't have shut down all the corruption and criminality.

    Maybe DJ stands for Data Jockey. Perhaps the falthier race serves as a distraction while another race is going on between two other jockeys.... the slicer DJ versus the other slicer played by Justin Theroux. Maybe all of the high-rollers at Canto Bight get taken to the cleaners by the winning jockey/slicer.

    Not officially. And even when things are stated officially, people pull out the "red herring" arguments. In short, everything is always open for interpretation. Vader may turn to only have been Luke's father in a metaphorical sense.
