ST Daisy Ridley (Rey) in the ST

Rian was definitely joking there. He was saying, put another way: "Yeah, sure we'll match the biggest movie twist of all time. No problem."

 

Yeah, when I posted the above I hadn't seen the video. I've commented several times since seeing it that he was joking.

This is a very good example of where one needs to see what's being said as much as read it to really understand what's going on.

 

I think when all is said and done, the ST is going to connect together really well. Possibly more so than the OT, given the lack of time jumps in between the films - for TFA and TLJ, anyway. I love it how Kylo says Rey envisions "an island", and in the sequel, that's where she finds herself. It's in the small details.

I didn't realize there is a right or wrong answer when it comes to personal preference.

Anyway. Now that filming won't start until June I wonder if Daisy will take a well deserved break or look for a new project?

 

I wouldn't blame Daisy if she wanted a small break/vacation at least. Her schedule seems like it'll be ridiculous busy in the near future.

Take in a show, sit on a beach and drink mojito's for a few weeks, see family, etc. She's earned it.

Well Daisy has shot 3 movies(with CW) this year plus another where she only puts the voice, I think her schedule this year has been pretty heavy, if she take a vacation when finish filming CW would be very deserved, but I think she probably will begin another project.

lol his ideas were good they just never translated from paper onto screen. He's a lot like Russel T. Davis to be fair but am not sure that's positive .

Hope she gets a decent rest, holiday, time with the family. Get out of the spotlight so to say. The poor girl is probably going to need a sanity brake after this year, bless her

The art work is gorgeous on the box. Yeah I wondered if it was part of a Ski Speeder too. I thought it could be part of the back end of one but looking at another image am not so sure. Whatever it is it's firmly lodged in the ground.

That's pretty neat that, hopefully lepoards can change their spots. Its really weird because JJ fought really hard to get that monopoly game changed after TFA then today am seeing this all over twitter;- #SWisagirlthingtoo after he comes back, the heck is going on? Seems like the ceiling is not broken after all and I'm dreading VIII. There is so much I could say but it would open up old wounds. This fandom is weird sometimes.

it's sad that jj gets so much hate from people and fans on the internet, on the star wars page alone it's disheartening. its not the majority but when you read something mean over and over again it's quite sad. in my opinion, although I didn't really love any of his films I don't think his filmmaking is bad at all. But I have to be honest I prefer rian johnson's movies over jj especially, the originality and the screenplays. I have high hopes for ep8 because I simply believe in rian johnson ability to write the profound and interesting characters, but it's just me. I saw a lot of people giving him credibility from his old works as well, so I hope it turns out good.

I don't think This fandom is weird it just people having a different opinion, However, have to admit that some people are really just a troll, some are really just sexist. Yet, there are some who really just state their honest opinion and give the valid criticism. I think sometimes it's good to have opinions to discuss as long as you discuss it in a polite way. as far as I'm seeing on this forum, things are good. Sometimes we might piss each other off because we said something that some people don't agree with, or maybe went too far, but we are much better than outside that the majority just a troll.

 

The thing with JJ is that he's shown an ability to set things up. But when it actually comes to paying things off well/answering the question that he raises, his track record is a lot more iffy. And it gets to the point where I sometimes wonder if he even thinks about what the answers to said question are? Or does he just leave it to the next guy completely to come up with the answers?

The pipes look similar to those that are underneath the Ski Speeder cockpit section but not sure what the thing is buried in the Crait surface. From what we have seen of the red stuff it does not appear to be that hard, more like soil than rock, so anything tough enough going at a reasonable speed would bury itself rather than break up.

 

This is actually a pretty big spoiler, for me at least.

I had no idea Rey is going to end up on Crait as well. Now I have to rewrite the whole movie in my head.

 

Apart from this figure the Lego AT-M6 set features her on Crait and there's the BTS video where she is with Finn on the Crait set......so yeah, she's on Crait.

 

Both of those got totally over my head.

I assumed the battle on Crait will take place in the first half of the movie in parallel to Rey's training with Luke, but perhaps it will be in the second half or even the movie's final battle?

Now I wonder if the casino scenes will take place before or after Crait and who actually goes to Canto Bight. Could be Finn and Rose have a mission on Canto Bight involving Hux, while Rey is training with Luke, and they all meet on Crait to stop the FO attack?

This is my favourite part waiting for a new Star Wars movie. Speculating what will happen based on few drops of information
