And all you have to do is look at that and picture 3 Earths next to each other for scale.

    All sky laser SETI

There is a link to the project page. Give them $10,000 and you can attend a party.

Yeah it says it in the first paragraph, there are probably thousands of these planetoids out there, so a discovery of one more is hardly even news nowadays. Now if the theorised Neptune sized world was discovered way out there, that would be news!

Isn't that the course that's supposed to slingshot it back in time if it's going warp speed?

NEW Earth-sized planet with Earth-like temperatures, 11 light years away
"the newly-discovered Ross 128 is less prone to flares, allowing its planets to potentially foster life unharmed."
To become closer to Earth than the Centauri system in only 79,000 years

edit: hah, I didn't bother to look at the most recent post after I googled the thread, Iron_lord beat me to it! :D

Anybody watching the wolf moon? It's been super clear and bright, lots of snow on the ground to reflect the light, and I think I could read a book by moonlight the last few nights.

Indeed. :) The Wolf Moon has been gorgeous.

Jan. 31st will feature the month's second full moon, and it comes with a total lunar eclipse, or Blood Moon.
